Too many games like this to call it a fluke or blame it on youth. Not sure what the problem is but our talent is good enough that loses like this are on the coaches. Quote Link to comment
Husker_luver Posted September 14, 2013 Share Posted September 14, 2013 We've cut down on how much we run the zone read and unsurprisingly, we have lost a lot of our big play ability and Taylor isn't getting very many rushing yards because... You guessed it, most of his runs are on zone reads. Yep. Kid is a crease runner. This season, for whatever reason, the zone read has been completely abandoned. I know they said we had like a 17 play drive in the first half. Don't know if it has ever taken us that long to score. Quote Link to comment
