BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
per Brian Christopherson. He was giving a Husker practice report for the Gator Bowl on 1620 and almost as an after thought when he was ending the discussion said that Randy Gregory announced he will return next season. Big boost for the Blackshirts! Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
He's a fantastic player, but he's wise to stay. He's not physically ready for the NFL yet IMO. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
He's a fantastic player, but he's wise to stay. He's not physically ready for the NFL yet IMO. Have you seen him?! But I definitely think he needs another year of experience. Quote Link to comment
huskerenner
This is great news going into next year.He will only get better. Quote Link to comment

Enhance
I thought I remembered a coach or reporter pointing out that they've tried to add weight to Gregory, but given his frame and build it was somewhat difficult. Quote Link to comment

QMany
He's a bad-a$$ mother that don't take no crap off of nobody. Quote Link to comment
McDawg
he kind of reminds me of our ILB Ramik Wilson ...same type size and speed. We run a are supposed to run a 3-4, so our inside backers are a little beefier, our DE's run a little bigger too...but they are almost like tackles in our scheme...our starting DE's are 6'3" 299 and 6'5" 276(according to the roster anyway) ...we will stay in a nickle package a lot....but to be honest with you, I would like to have a man on the edge like your Gregory; that dude looks to be pretty dang quick....personally, I think he kind of looks like a ILB in the SEC Quote Link to comment

Last year they averaged about 310. Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
It's great to hear Randy is coming back for sure, but I never thought he would leave after this year. He needs to physically mature more to be an every down DE/OLB in the NFL. Actually, he may be better suited as an OLB in a 3-4 scheme, because he wouldn't be facing 300+ LB OT's every play as a 4-3 DE. Quote Link to comment
