Kickoff Time Announcement Thread - Primetime Games: Miami, MSU, *FSU*

Also don't forget guys,

this game is out in the damn desert. We should be very thankful that it is as late as it is - any earlier and there would be a legitimate advantage for Fresno playing at home with those insane temps.

Um, this is insanely false. It can be hot, but there's no humidity and it's hardly a desert.

Fresno's coach is an idiot then man.

Not saying it's a huge deal, but it's less of a deal playing at night. That helps our football team. That's all.

I would say playing at 1 AM Lincoln time will offset that a bit.

Judging by some of their twitter feeds, they're up at that time.

I have seen many tweets from recruits considering Nebraska or committed to Nebraska commenting on the game that weekend as though they watched it. It is ridiculous to think that a top recruit that is trying to consider between 2-3 top programs isn't going to want to watch those programs on the weekend. Even if a small percentage want to do that, why put yourself in a time slot that would make it harder for them to do that?

Do you follow high school football players on Twitter?

Jeffrey Dahmer thinks that's creepy.

Do recruiting services or Nebraska media never retweet quotes from recruits talking about Nebraska?

Exactly.

I follow Nebraska media. They retweet recruits all the time.

jump to conclusions much???

I was about to start a business selling a "Jump to Conclusions" mat.

If he called it a desert then he might be, yes.

I don't know if he called it a desert, but a couple of weeks ago he said he hoped the game was in the afternoon on Saturday because it would be at least 100 degrees and that his players would be better acclimated to it.

I wouldn't call it desert myself, but it is extremely dry farmland that is completely irrigated. I do a lot of business in the area.

In September in the Central Valley it certainly could be 100 but it probably will not be.

Sure seemed to affect UCLA a lot playing at 9 AM Los Angeles time

Considering that UCLA had practices that early for fall camp, of course it didn't. I don't think Nebraska has practices at midnight though.

Are you honestly worried about their performance because of the time?

Not really. It's about as much of an issue as the temperature in my mind.

But..... the B1G has struggled mightily when playing on the west coast, especially late games.

Then you are worried that they are too soft.

I'm worried about MY performance because of the time. The time doesn't bother me in terms of the team, or recruiting. I'm worried about myself! I'm tired and cranky with two small kids, and I'll be in living in an eastern time zone this fall. I'll be lucky to stay awake through the first half. Hell, most nights I'd be asleep before this game would even start.

Prepare your self by setting our alarm for 1am and start drinking for two hours. You'll be amazed at the results.

Yes

I'm not, whatever chance Fresno really had of winning that game will be drafted no later than the 2nd round in about 3 weeks. There is no more Carr brothers to carry Fresno St. to victory.

There defense was terrible last year. They outscored teams they beat. I just don't think they have enough to beat NU.

This isn't like going to play UCLA that you knew had talent that was underperforming, this is Fresno St. a decent mid major that has a solid program.

I don't think NU will take them lightly.

can not believe people are seriously whining about this

Did you mean to say "I can totally believe that people are bitching about this..."

Because the second I heard it was at 9:30 I thought "Sweet" and if I thought it was sweet...that means lots of people will hate it!

Totally agree. I'm excited for more night games (even though I am on the east coast).
