kansas husker
What I am about to post is mot BS , but I didn't know where else to post this. Huskerboard, it's been a long time since I've posted, but my wife and I need prayers.Last Thursday my wife had to have an emergency C-section and our daughter, Hadassah Leigh was born at 26 weeks weighing only 2 lbs. She has been doing well but we are calling on every one we can think of for prayers of deliverance for our child as well as strength for her mother and I. Hadassah Quote Link to comment

TonyStalloni
I certainly will pray for the three of you. A little more than a year ago the daughter of a good friend of mine had a baby at about the same 26 weeks. It took him months to gain the size he needed to go home but he is doing great and crawling all over. Quote Link to comment

NUance
That's a tough thing, hanging around the NICU every day. My prayers are with you. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Thoughts and prayers for you, your wife, and your daughter. Tough way to start life that's for sure. Our twins were born two months early and weighed just over 3 lbs when they were born. They spent a month in the NICU, it's not an easy process, take it day-by-day and embrace the wins when they come and try not to dwell on the negatives when they pop up. One of our sons was worse off than the other, but he was a fighter! Now they are beautiful healthy 5 year old's with the only lasting issue is asthma. I think we came closer to losing the one with more issues than we know, but he refused to give up. Trust in the professionals that are caring for your daughter. They are special people who think your child is their own and are angels for what they do. Stay strong man and keep the faith and stay positive. Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
Thanks everyone for the kind words. Also I have an idea in my head to show her the Facebook page once she is old enough to appreciate it to show her how many people took the time to pray for her. If you don't mind the occasional updates go on and like her page. Quote Link to comment
Stumpy1
Prayers are sent...My nephew was born almost 3 months early, weighted in at 17oz when born and now is starting 3rd grade this year. She is in great hands and will grow up to be a beautiful girl. Quote Link to comment
secretasianman
Prayers to you. My daughter was born at 33 weeks. 3 pounds 13 oz. She is 9 years old now and healthier than ever. Days in the NICU are nerve wracking for sure. Your family will get through this. If you had faith as small as a mustard seed, you could say to that mountain, move from here to there, and it will move. Quote Link to comment
