Saunders
Just as the title says, what are you most concerned about for the 2014 team. Follow the format below. (See the "excited about" thread here.) Offense: Offensive scheme. IMO, we need to lean hard on the ground game. Don't get cute. Defense: Depth on the DL. Our starters can hang with anyone, but behind them (especially DE) is thin. Bonus: Injuries. We've already lost 4 guys for the season. Hopefully we don't lose any more. Also, punting unit. Hunter94
my concern, is when opposing defenses stack the box, can Tommie complete some passes. Quote Link to comment
Huskers5x
Offense: hard to go with anything other than turnovers. Defense: have our DBs learned how to run at a proper angle yet? Jet sweeps scare me. Bonus: tackling. I personally feel like we lost one of our best open field tacklers in Alexander. Quote Link to comment
Dagerow
Offensive: OL depth. Defense: Injuries at DE and secondary. Bonus: Special teams. Quote Link to comment
lo country
Offense: Beck and the play calling. We are stacked at RB and receiver. Until TA gets into a groove as the starter, lean on them. Keep on going until the D stops us and then switch. Call one series or play to set up the next. Defense: IIRC, Bo's comments about the 1's vs 2's was a bigger gap than he wanted. Unsure which specific position group Bonus: Ability to stop the run. On paper, we look like world beaters. Just want to see it on the field. We shut down Miami's Duke Johnson, I will feel more confident as we face Iowa and Wisky. The running game has proven to be our defensive kryptonite Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Offense: Has to be the QB spot. Turnovers is a possibility but solid play at the QB spot would take care of most of that. We have depth and experience almost everywhere else. If we can get solid QB play, we should be really good. Defense: Depth (other than DT). I think our starting 11 will be really good. We need to find a find some backups to rotate in and give the starters a break here and there. There is potential but it is all unproven. Bonus: Consistency in the kicking game. Foltz has a pretty good leg. If he can be more consistent, we'll be good there. The kickers have been inconsistent so far and we have new snappers. Hopefully that comes together. Bigred_inSD
Offense: obviously turnovers, they have killed many drives and cost many games. Defense: tackling. Sometimes it looks like our guys want to play two hand touch or the opponents jersey is made of butter Bonus: punt returns. At this point just catch the ball and take a standing broad jump leap, it will gain more yards Quote Link to comment
Abdullah the Butcher
Offense: Receivers ability to catch Defense: Secondary coverage Bonus: Return Game Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
My concerns? 1) injuries 2) Cynicism That's pretty much it Quote Link to comment
carlfense
Offense: Defense: Mobile QBs. Bonus: Punt returns. Quote Link to comment

Redux
Offense: Inconsistency Defense: Injuries Other: Losing 4 games Quote Link to comment
Danimal
Offense: TURNOVERS Catching consistently Staying healthy up front Don't be too cute Defense: Running qb's Forcing turnovers Tackling in space No more injuries period ST: Get some blocking back there on punt returns, get somebody back there that will catch the ball consistently and make the first guy miss. Fieldgoals could be shakey Quote Link to comment
