  1. another championship Saturday and the huskers are watching from home. Hard to have any confidence this program will ever be relevant again.

You watch the level of play from the teams around the country that are in the mix and NU is struggling to even be somewhat close...disturbing

Id be depressed and let it ruin my life if i were you.

We were plenty close in 2009-2010. It's entirely possible, just takes the right circumstances.

  2. Kevin Wilson fired at IU. That seems... strange.

not about wins losses. one outlet reported it as "stepping down". most saying "dismissed".

I already read that 15 times, but thanks lol

  3. Ask yourself. Do you see progress with this team?

Improvement since last year or since last game?

I think we are improved over all with playing ability but i honestly dont feel we have the talent to be ranked this high. Ill take it but i feel the high wont last. I hope im wrong

I agree with Lyons. We would see more progress if we didn't have 5 starters out and several more with nicks. Our O line wasn't deep to start with and loosing Foster hurt early. Right now they are a patchwork and 2 of Tommy's top targets didn't make the trip yesterday,

  4. If DPE can cleanly field a few punts I think he could be a difference maker in this game.

I did read somewhere that we've not been setting up to return. We can hope right?

Without a change to the punt blocking scheme, any decent punt return is a gift from God. #FoFiddy

He deserves it. He's been through enough. Time to step back into the spotlight with a game-changing punt return against the ducks! I hope DPE does it.

  5. Just watched the highlights form last years game. Man that was a thriller

A team cut from the very fabric of historical irrelevancy really has no business trying to puff their chests out after one good year of playing a mediocre schedule and sometimes hardly winning.

Shows how important a quarterback is. Beathard took them to a different level. I love Tommy but I would love to have some consistent qb play that does not turn the ball over

  6. Agreed. Iowa fans are already declaring it a cover up and are certain that Tommy is a criminal. The guy wasn't even named as the accused.
  7. DPE will take one to the house tomorrow. Heard from a reliable source.

DOES YOUR SOURCE ALSO HAVE THE WINNING LOTTERY NUMBERS? ASKING FOR A FRIEND...

I heard if he fails to take one to the house, he will transfer.

Yes, DPE is making money on the side delivering Ramos Pizza. So I'm pretty sure he'll take a lot of 'em to the house.

  8. Do you at least admit that the constant negativity and criticism has the potential to harm the program? And NO potential to help at this point? 1. Yes, but the source of the negativity is what's on the field. If he wins, it will go away. 2. No, it has an enormous potential to help. If you replace a 6-6 coach with a big name coach who is expected to play for titles, then you are moving in the right direction. Indeed, the earlier that new coach is hired, the more likely he will land some top recruits. It has no potential to help right now. Obviously coaches need to be held accountable and there is a time to call for firings but that time is not now because it will not result in any changes this soon.
  9. Do you at least admit that the constant negativity and criticism has the potential to harm the program? And NO potential to help at this point? There is scrutiny all over college football. I don't think that lowering our expectations will do the program any favors, unless, as Jason Peter says, they want to play for Illinois. Staying supportive is not equivalent to lowering expectations.

  11. Anyone rewatch the game get a better feel for how good ozigbo looked? He was obviously very productive but I dont recall if he had good blocking or made some good moves or anything like that.

Ozigbo is a stud, and for as big as he looks he's got another gear.

He did have some good blocks, in fact he personally approached his line after the TD play and thanked them for their hard work. (or so I've heard) #classact

  12. A win against wisconsin would go a long way for this team i think. And would do wonders for my personal spirits.

It wouldn't make up for losing to Illinois, but it would sure make me feel better moving forward.

      Scratchtown

The thing is, a victory over Wisconsin isn't going to be a huge accomplishment by season's end. It will be good in the moment, but I think most people will see that Wisconsin just isn't that good. This game will be very low scoring. 17-10 kind of game.

    4. RedSavage

      RedSavage

It probably won't be seen as a big win but I think it's needed to keep the wheels from falling off

  13. so last week we wanted to fire banker. This week we want to fire langsdorf. who should we fire after wisconsin?

  14. You guys are hilarious. The coaches and players arent going anywhere so why waste your time crying about it. Support the team (that means coaches and players) because thats the only thing that you can do to help.
  15. Calling for heads isnt going to accomplish sh*t right now and it will only contribute to the decline of the team and program. We can either support the players and coaches and hope to make a positive impact, or continue to poison the well.

Bulls**t. Not only is it relevant, it's necessary, and the AD and Chancellor need to know the fans won't stand for this s**t anymore.

Anyone who is calling for a coaching change at this point is a child. And children are meant to be seen and not heard, so it would then be the mods job to go ahead and ban them at that point.
