lo country
Wide receiver Jamal Turner turns heads at Husker scrimmage Last man standing. I really hope that this staff can showcase those fleeting highlight moments we have seen. Quote Link to comment
mnhusker
It would be great to see him have a strong year, he has tremendous ability, if he can just polish up his game I think he can be a high impact player. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
It's now or never for Mr. Turner. 2 Quote Link to comment
skersfan
Coming back is am amazing feat for him. Kids can lose their motivation, and I think in the past if you were not in the in click, your chances dwindled and died. He seems like he knows he has a chance with the new staff, and is pursuing it. Great for him, and his effort is needed. Some very good news for our Huskers I think. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Westerkamp, Pierson-El and a highly motivated Jamal Turner running routes for a better coached quarterback? Sounds pretty good to me. Dont forget about the big bodied Tariq Allen being able to stretch vertically. No, you use Tariq in the WR screen game like Beck did against MSU last year. You know, get those big guys the ball in a backwards pass and let them use their quickness and elusiveness to break off huge gains. Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
Glad to hear he is healthy. We'll see about his production on the field. [holds breath]. 1 Quote Link to comment
admo
Glad to hear he is healthy. We'll see about his production on the field. [holds breath]. Me too, glad he is healthy and ready to go. IMO, anything he does to contribute is just gravy. Quote Link to comment
Bowfin
Nebraska had wide receivers stacked up this year like cordwood, and now healthy ones are as scarce as hen's teeth. I am sure Turner felt like he might get lost in the shuffle, and now it appears...well, I hope he stays healthy, and I will avoid jinxing him. UNK went through the same thing at QB a couple of years ago. I think their fifth or sixth quarterback for the season got his jaw broke in a fight with a wrestler. 2 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
It's now or never for Mr. Turner. Yeah, I bet you said that last year, too. Quote Link to comment

zoogs
Watching Jamal go down for the season last year in what, the first half of the first game? was such a sucker punch. I hope he'll get to write a nice final chapter of his Husker career. Quote Link to comment
husker_rob
Agreed. Everything from the new offense to the unfortunate injuries have set the stage for him to get a shot to write his legacy here. He was a really special player once, who got dealt a rough hand of cards. It would be a nice story if he can be our homerun threat this year. Hope he stays healthy. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
I hope it's not the end of his football days when he's done here at Nebraska. Maybe his season goes well enough to put him on the radar for the next level. The guy is, or used to be an elite athlete. I hope he's back to his old self. We're gonna need him. Quote Link to comment
