marble
Riley recently said he had interviewed four guys. I think he himself also said it's down to 2, so I guess it won't be too long, now. Today's MLK day and Riley hasn't tweeted since the 16th. Maybe (hopefully) tomorrow? Keep the politics & religion in the P&R forum, please. Riley was in Oklahoma last night visiting Burnett. Who is Burnett? Nevermind, I'm stupid. Barnett the recruit, it all makes sense now. ADS
Troy Walters would be a pretty good hire. He's got a lot of ties down in Texas. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
I know Riley says he wants to get the right guy but should it really take this long for a WR coach? We had a LB coach out recruiting within a couple of days. Flipping recruits to NU. Seems weird that of all the coaches to get hired, this one takes the longest. Quote Link to comment
Nuke LaLoosh
Agreed. Troy Walters would be a solid hire. Young, knows the position well. Here is his link http://www.cubuffs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=3854&SPID=255&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=600&ATCLID=206290990&Q_SEASON=2014 Quote Link to comment
Husker_Power
2009 Indiana State Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks & Receivers 2010-11 Texas A&M Receivers 2012 North Carolina State Receivers 2013 Colorado Receivers / Recruiting Coordinator Seems like a qualified guy. My question is why is he leaving these places so quickly? Quote Link to comment

They can lose jobs after their HC was fired, they can move for promotions, etc. I will never complain about how much $ an assistant coach is making, because it can be a very tough life. I am sure there are great perks at times, but it is not an easy profession. 1 Quote Link to comment

The Dude
I wonder which way we're going though: older and experienced, or young and energetic. I'm hoping for the latter. We could use another guy similar to Bray and Davis on the staff. Old people can be energetic and young people can be experienced, you know. Stop being racist. 1 Quote Link to comment
lAsTdRaGoN
Not trying to be a prick but Troy Walters is not the new WR coach. You are getting in my opinion one of best WR coaches I have ever seen. You have not heard of him but trust me, go to a practice and watch him work once Spring ball come and you will see what I mean. 2 Quote Link to comment

Sock is that you? Just kidding, it is an inside joke on the message board from during the head coach search. Thanks for the tidbit, and welcome to the board. Sure you don't want to drop a name?
