LOL. I blame Riley for the awful product on the field, unequivocally. However, the decision to hire him and allow him to bring the Oregon State staff to NU was made by Eichorst. Our DL play really exposes this defensive scheme. I was thinking our DB's almost never being in any position to make a play exposes it. Quote Link to comment

We are going to get woodshedded in conference play. Our D is horrific. Our pass d is so bad that even with a d that is supppose to stop the run it may be just to easy to chew up yards with the pass. Hujan Posted September 19, 2015 Share Posted September 19, 2015 I think Banker's scheme can work with some elite corners. With mediocre to bad corners (i.e., ours) the defense is very, very vulnerable to the pass. Almost as vulnerable as Pelini's Cover 2 scheme was to the run. Quote Link to comment

McBride-recruited speed, tackling and then size. Said if you couldn't fly, you didn't get a look...... Speed kills. You can't teach it, but you can recruit it. 1 Quote Link to comment
