Redux
I saw who it was, didn't want to single anyone out. Too much turmoil around here. Quote Link to comment
GBRedneck
It was SFW. Oops! Apologies to FTW. I fixed my post. Quote Link to comment
Stumpy1
Who cares if he does some consulting while here. All programs do this to an extant during the offseason. Even T.O had other coaches come and give input and consult on things. I think it is pretty neat to have a coach like Spurrier come here to visit and watch a game. This Quick update, guys. I checked, and Nebraska has three games left in the season. No offseason, yet. Lol. Smartass Quote Link to comment
Stumpy1
Who does this........seriously.......give me an example of when this has happened before? Bobby Bowden maybe. During a time of turmoil...really.....doubt it...anyway what pi$$ poor timing. Bobby Bowden was the guy that told TO how to add speed to his defense. He done it right after beating us in '93. He told TO and McBride to use LBs as DEs, safeties as LBs. TO implemented this and the rest is history. Quote Link to comment

Bigred_inSD
When was Spurrier supposed to come? He just retired like 3 weeks ago, what home games have we played since then? This is our biggest game of the year to date, and it's under the lights. Calm down world Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
Personally, I don't see the problem. People here like Spurrier, he gave us one of our most important wins. And, he is a fun character, The Old Ball Coach. Welcome to Nebraska, Steve! Quote Link to comment
Decked
People actually are trying to read into this? Quote Link to comment
Bigred_inSD
Just a random thought, I don't know how much contact and stuff is allowed with recruits, but let's say Spurrier says he's never seen a crowd or game atmosphere like what he sees in Lincoln. You don't think that would make an impression on all these kids visiting this weekend Quote Link to comment

Yeah, well.....TO gave input to Mike Riley about the importance of a running game......so we already know about Riley and the whole "taking advice" thing. Quote Link to comment

I saw one more besides SFW. I think it's awesome. Probably the best move Pederhorst has made in his career. Not sure why Spurrier needed a nametag though. Quote Link to comment
