Thanks_Tom RR
Nebraska could have beaten two Top 5 teams this year. Defense and Special Teams came to play. OL and Imani played well. WR were alright, not great. TA was the difference in this loss. He has all the arm talent and running ability you want but makes too many bad throws. Langsdorf switched from a power run offense against Michigan St and Rutgers to a pass first offense. Still, it was effective as Nebraska gained 433 yards and 22 first downs (almost 200 more yards and twice as many first downs as Iowa). However, while effective, this game plan highlights TA's weaknesses. Quote Link to comment
Husker67
And shouldn't a game plan highlight your players' strengths and your opponents's weaknesses 1 Quote Link to comment

huskerenner
This was not a great Iowa team. And they still beat us on our home field,on Senior Day.Sad! Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
Offense - Tommy could have had 7 picks today. I think he's done. Tommy had time, but it looked like several receivers stopped or don't try to get open. I just seemed as much as hard as the Iowa DB's were breaking, that a double move may have worked a few times. The 4th and 1 fade was the worst play call I have seen this year. Defense- I hope all that Gerry is throwing games garbage can be put to rest. The big plays in the second half probably wouldn't have happened. Special Teams - Its tough not being able to kick touchbacks. Brown has really turned things around. 2 Quote Link to comment

What coach in their right mind, with the crappy weather we had today, runs a throw heavy scheme? Quote Link to comment
Husker67
We learned nothing today. We were 5-6 going in, and 5-7 coming out. Wasn't like a win was going to make us B1G West champs, was it? We learned all we needed to learn by game 9. Quote Link to comment
HuskersNC949597
I don't care for this coaching staff by and large, but the 4th and 1 fade was not exactly the primary call, Cethan Carter was standing all alone on the other side of the field, but Tommy threw to the end zone because he. . .yeah I don't know why he did it, honestly. Carter likely walks it in easily if Tommy turns his head slightly to his left. 6 Quote Link to comment

Good thing the weather wasn't like Oklahoma 1991, Langs would have thrown 65 times Quote Link to comment
