TGHusker
Good. Now Scott Frost can come here - he now has head coaching experience ...... a few weeks of hiring assistant coaches and visiting wt his new team. Just thought I'd do a pre-emptive strike against those Scott Frost rumors in light of this MR rumor Quote Link to comment
Redux
You really gotta chill with the troll game teach Trolling? They took a year to buy a house and had to sell it a few months later because of his wife's allergies to paint...So, making a joke about a pointless city is more clever and funny than it is trolling. See? It's been over a year, does his Oregon State record really matter? Quote Link to comment
TGHusker
Oh, we might as well start the Coach Kelly to NU rumors also since Phili let him go last week. He'll also bring Scott back as OC as coach in waiting. Quote Link to comment
BoNeyard
Is this article from 2005? When Riley was relevant? If he left now, although some may welcome it, it would set this program back even longer because there are no coaches out there to hire now. We literally would be doomed. Quote Link to comment
adc7236
NFL folks are pretty dumb when it comes to hiring coaches. This makes lots of sense. Not sure who a person picks up as a coach this late in the game unless you throw lots of money at someone. Sometimes I think that applies to GM's as well. The Colts GM sounds unprepared, uneducated and under qualified when he speaks in public, along with other questionable things. On a different note, I would be shocked if Riley goes anywhere. MichiganDad3
He has a relationship with the management, and a local journalist thinks he is a candidate. http://www.wdsu.com/news/local-news/new-orleans/if-payton-leaves-saints-whod-replace-him-heres-fletcher-mackels-six-candidates/37258362 I think the chances of MR going to the Saints is very low, but what is the best option for replacing a coach who goes to the NFL in late January or February? Although many would like to see Riley leave, now would be the absolute worse time for that to happen. Quote Link to comment
