Not sure how you can think we are just a big man away.. unless you are ignoring the play of the rest of the team. yes, the freshman got better, but like I said that is a given!

 

Like I said, 1 year every 4 is what Tim Miles is best at. Look at his career coaching record. Only one time did he have 2 decent years, the rest one and done!

^ Thank you! This team has some weaknesses and no one is saying this program will be at the top of the heap in the near future. I have enjoyed watching my team both at Pinnacle and on tv. They have played some very good teams close and beaten MSU on their home court. Yes I know they've had some confusing losses. As you said, we need a dominant big to cover the 5 spot and let our current 4 players go back to their natural position. Prior to Shields injury I don't think many teams wanted to play Nebraska in the BIG Tourney. His absence left a pretty big hole on a team playing a lot of true freshmen. Any "fan" can jump off the wagon any time they want. They can go watch Kansas or Oklahoma or the teams at the top of the BIG 10 right now or go watch the GS Warriors. I don't understand how a person who calls Nebraska his team can be so entitled as to say they won't watch because they aren't one of the better teams.

After this year. My thought in time miles has changed. He's not that good. 61-63 record. Take away that 9-1 run 2 years ago. He's 52-62. This team is regressing just like last year. He needs to go. Freshman have not shown any improvement this year.

We won't be any better next year. No shooters, no guards that can break down a D. No meat on this team.

Freshman shown no improvement?

How about Michael Jacobsen who started the season hardly seeing the floor and now plays a majority of the minutes and contributes.

Or Glenn Watson Jr. Who has turned into a solid scorer through conference play.

Jack Mcveigh is much of the same, inconsistent but to say overall our freshmen have shown no improvement is false. This game is awful, no arguing about that but our freshmen have shown improvement through the season.

Well that explains why our offense has regressed all year. Thanks for clearing that up. That's 3 games now where we struggle to get to 20 at half.

 

 

 

This is honestly up there with the Samford performance for worst of the year. I am no longer watching. I hate to be "that guy" but I'm done with this season. This team just isn't worth caring about or following.

 

The amount of money, resources, and FAN SUPPORT that this school and fan base puts into this program for absolutely zero in return is just sad. I envy the day that this program reaches even middle-of-the-pack B1G basketball on a consistent basis. IF that day ever comes.

For now, pure embarrassment. Also hate to be "that guy" once more, but I give Tim Miles next year and if it's a 3rd losing season in a row he should be fired. I don't know how anybody could possibly argue against that. Love the guy, but his teams/coaches aren't getting it done.

So, now the label is "entitled" if people are not happy? Not wanting to watch this team after this terrible loss, in my opinion, has nothing to do with being "entitled". To me it means they demand better, better than .500. We could easily miss the NIT even!

Because he will at some point convince a quality 5 to come to Nebraska or we will have a home grown kid who wants to be a Husker. Eventually the state will produce another Hoppen or Rich King. The drought can't go on forever.

NU doesn't have tons of talent and the dudes coming in are not what you need. Mix in the fact that you are losing possibly the best Husker basketball player in school history and things will not be great with the average coaching.

I don't know how long you have followed the Huskers closely, but if this is an indication..........I'm guessing ........not ALL that long.

No disrespect to Shavon (and due props for his efforts), but he is not even close to making that list.

Tyron Lue, Jarron Boone, Eric Strickland, Rich King, Eric Piatkowski, Andre Smith, Chuck Jura, ..............heck you could even go back to Jerry Fort and just off the top of my head, I'm sure I'm missing a few.
