ColoradoHusk
I learned that NU is 2-0 against the spread so far this year. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
• The offense is going to need every weapon it has. Could be fun. • I like individual players in the Husker secondary, but if I were an opposing OC I would pass every play. • Tre Bryant is the best running back. • Starting rough and finishing strong isn't the worst problem to have. • If the first two games make Husker fans feel nervous, how should Clemson and Georgia fans be feeling right now? I don't think the Huskers should be ranked, but there are several ranked teams that are not as good as the Huskers Quote Link to comment

They had to pick a poison and that's the poison I would have picked too. I think Bohl is starting to get them going in the right direction fwiw. 4 Quote Link to comment
Elf
Ok, I keep seeing all the posts about bonehead Tommy plays. Exactly how many "stupid mistakes" did he make out there? I'm just curious. I know the INT was beyond stupid, but is that play going to cloud everyone's judgement on other plays that he did make? Completely agree. He has become a scapegoat for all the teams faults. That one play was stupid, but otherwise pretty lights out. While Tommy only threw one interception today, two other passes could've and should've been picked off, one of them probably a pick 6. Tommy did mostly good today but he was really lucky those two passes didn't get picked. I'd give him a B+ for today. 1 Quote Link to comment

hskrpwr13
We may be the best fourth quarter team in the country. Despite some nice spots here and there, we wont' beat UO with the overall performance in the other six quarters 1 Quote Link to comment
zoogs
The run game's struggles today also surprised me. To an extent Wyoming were just selling out vs the run, right? -- which also explains the silly extent to which they were punished through the air. But certainly I think we'd like to see something better out of the ground attack. If other teams can also shut down the run and take their chances with the pass, they'll likely have greater success than a 7-point game heading into the 4th. And it doesn't take a top-tier B1G team to fall into that category. 1 Quote Link to comment

I think they took the right approach and still gave up over 7 yards per play and lost by 35. Way it goes for Wyoming. Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
Skers are not better than Clemson if that's what you are insinuating But I learned this team can get hot in a hurry I see us taking the ducks by 2 possessions next Saturday if we can contain Freeman which I think is reasonable Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I'm happy with the win and liked some of the things I seen in the 2nd half, but we have to clean up the penalties and play better football on the offensive line, secondary, and special teams to ultimately be competitive with better teams. I'm hopeful we'll figure that stuff out, but we haven't for years so I'm not planning on it as a way to protect my psyche! 1 Quote Link to comment
Elf
Ideally, I think the sweet spot for Tommy pass attempts is around 25. Wyoming has a good run defense and they sold out to stop the run, so NU had to pass more. I did think there were times where Langsdorf could have stuck with the run a little more, but he saw all the big plays coming in the passing game. It's a 4 quarter game. NU did a good job of taking away Wyoming's strength in the run game and Wyoming had to pass more often. While Wyoming succeeded passing in the first 2 1/2 quarters, those pass attempts added up and they started having more mistakes and NU was getting turnovers. Tommy and the offense did a great job of turning those turnovers into points. Tommy also had a great drive when Wyoming cut the lead to 24-17. NU needed a score and they got it. There is nothing at all wrong with taking what the defense gives you. This is exactly why I would run a balanced offense as an offensive coordinator. If the defense stacks the box, you can still pass to force them out of the box, or alternatively, they never leave the box and you torch them for hundreds of yards through the air.
