Couple quotes were "we like Nebraska regardless" not sure what the regardless part meant. moms were happy about the 3 hour drive that's for sure. Probably alluding too the inevitable firing of Riley. Red Five
Did he tell Rivals that Riley isn't getting fired after visiting this week? Quote Link to comment

Coaches are employed to do certain stuff and saying they will be around is part of that. TN's coach still says he is going to be around next year too. They are always around until they are not. Some say he is going to step down. Quote Link to comment

Yeah but it doesn't mean anything. Wouldn't expect the coaches to say anything different until they've officially been let go. Quote Link to comment
Huskers93-97
What else would the coaches say. A thought that does come to my mind moving forward is how this and other recruits are thinking about in terms of bringing a Chip Kelly or Scott Frost. I get the "decommit" thing ... ya, but if brings either of those guys I would think that is a major upgrade in their eyes from MR. MR was and still is a .500 coach with an upset every other year of some Top 20 team. I get that MR is a relationship guy, a nice guy ... but hey, look at Frosty ... he's all that as well and will even strap on a helmet and play QB if he needs to. As well, he isn't gonna be retired in 3-4 years. Well, hopefully, a recruit like this will see the tradition of and hang around and reconsider once the new coach is hired. I hope. I think all you Frost fans over estimate how he might be viewed by an 18 year old recruit. Unless he's already recruiting them for UCF, his reputation with a them is likely no different than it is w/Joe Schmo coach at another school. The existing class and those on the fence are not going to suddenly say "whew, if it's Frost I stay". Quote Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
But he said on BRW on Tuesday that he doesn't plan on de-committing. Man I don't know what to believe anymore if you cant believe an 18 year old kid Quote Link to comment
