Trump Foreign Policy

This morning The Donald has taken aim at CNN again.

Why would he do that today, of all days?

Maybe it's because they've scooped a story that Trump's coziness with the Russians is costing us spies.

Exclusive: US extracted top spy from inside Russia in 2017

In a previously undisclosed secret mission in 2017, the United States successfully extracted from Russia one of its highest-level covert sources inside the Russian government, multiple Trump administration officials with direct knowledge told CNN.

A person directly involved in the discussions said that the removal of the Russian was driven, in part, by concerns that President Donald Trump and his administration repeatedly mishandled classified intelligence and could contribute to exposing the covert source as a spy.

The decision to carry out the extraction occurred soon after a May 2017 meeting in the Oval Office in which Trump discussed highly classified intelligence with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and then-Russian Ambassador to the US Sergey Kislyak. The intelligence, concerning ISIS in Syria, had been provided by Israel.

The disclosure to the Russians by the President, though not about the Russian spy specifically, prompted intelligence officials to renew earlier discussions about the potential risk of exposure, according to the source directly involved in the matter.

The removal happened at a time of wide concern in the intelligence community about mishandling of intelligence by Trump and his administration. Those concerns were described to CNN by five sources who served in the Trump administration, intelligence agencies and Congress.

Those concerns continued to grow in the period after Trump's Oval Office meeting with Kislyak and Lavrov. Weeks after the decision to extract the spy, in July 2017, Trump met privately with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Hamburg and took the unusual step of confiscating the interpreter's notes. Afterward, intelligence officials again expressed concern that the President may have improperly discussed classified intelligence with Russia, according to an intelligence source with knowledge of the intelligence community's response to the Trump-Putin meeting.

"Foreign leaders are always asking me...."     What an obvious lie.  I just can't get over how this scumbag remains in office.

Just in the last few  tweets Knapp has posted - we see his collaboration with Putin,  his alt right, white only mindset as he blocks Bahamanian refuges from coming here,  his war against the 1st amendment and the media,  & we see his unethical approach of trying to seize an Iranian ship, and the list could go on and on.

He sets on fire issues around the globe thinking he will swoop in like superman to fix them and yet they not only remain unbroken but worse because of his incompetence.   Iran peace treaty, Paris environmental accord,  NK nuke situation,  Pacific trade agreement, tariffs on China,  NATO, Middle East,  and the biggest one of all - Greenland (ok that just shows his small mindedness) and the list can go on - not to mention his Yuge spending and tax cuts here. Plus no one can work for the guy - it is a revolving door wt his cabinet.  He is making Jimmy Carter look like a presidential genius.   If ever a president could be fired (impeached) for incompetence alone it would be Trump, if ever a president could be impeached on ethics alone, it would be trump.  While I may disagree wt many policy positions, the left of center candidates like Sanders, Harris,  and Warren could do a lot to restore the dignity of this office & unite the country.  That is more important at this time than policy matters.

Damn Gabbard, tell us how you really feel. But seriously this is ridiculous i can understand using what ever fleet is already stationed there as a deterrent for iran to seize more oil tankers but if the two biggest state sponsors of terrorism want to shoot at each other we shouldn't get involved. We sell saudi Arabia billions of dollars worth of the best american jets and tanks money can buy they can take care of themselves.
