The stupidity is impressive with this idiot.

I saw some video of him last night talking about the Odessa shooting in that same hat.

My immediate thought was "Maybe don't wear a dumbass ballcap with USA and "45" on the side when addressing the nation about another mass shooting. I don't know, just thinking out loud!?!?"

Everything has to be about him, all the time. Self-promotion and self-gain above everything else. It's really disgusting.

Sad part is...most socialists out there don't want the 1965 numbers....they want something that's not so outrageous and mind boggling in place.  These CEO's make that money on the backs of these folks but share none of the rewards with them.  Pretty pathetic.

The corporate board/executives typically approve the CEO's compensation and any profit sharing. I think it would be more interesting to see how much available cash these companies have compared to what their work force pay is. In the grand scheme redistributing CEO salaries won't equate to that much for employees.

Example.

Walmart CEO made 22.8 million.  That's 1,188 times the average worker.  That seems outrageous.

However, they have 2.3 million employees world wide.  If you distributed the entire 22.8 million to all the employees, it would equate to $10.36 per employee.

This is a stat that is used for shock value.  Don't get me wrong.  There are situations where the CEO is making way more than they should.  But, the stat alone doesn't tell the story.

Oh it's not that...it's the fact that CEO wage has risen that much and if we do a calculation the ratio the common worker has gone up in the same time...it doesn't equate.  Common workers are vastly underpaid when taking into account performance of companies (more efficient with technology now means less employees which should mean better pay but doesn't) and inflation (wages have stagnated over the past 20 years).

The question we have to ask ourselves is...have CEO's suddenly started performing better to warrant this increase?  If not, why the increase?  Because inflation?  Because competition?  Have CEO's reduced the number of labor strikes with their vast raise in salary?

It's not just about shock value...it's about seeing a MASSIVE gap and the disconnect between executive/CEO pay and the common worker.

There's a nice little page that shows just how messed up Tax law and CEO Pay like this is:  https://aflcio.org/paywatch

I'm not arguing anything in this post.  I'm just saying the stat by itself doesn't mean what some people take it as.

Rather than hold real elections and give Republican voters a choice, several states are planning on canceling their primaries in the face of possible challengers to Trump.

This is not democracy.

I know the backlash I will get for this, but this seems like an escalation of what the Democratic Party did to Bernie in 2016. Why are Americans suddenly so afraid to be challenged?
