DOJ Initial Russia Hearings

This is interesting write up about the sources.

Like the author of this, I find it interesting that the sources are identified as "White House Advisors" that were briefed on the meeting. Now, don't you think the circle of people who were briefed on this meeting is pretty dang small? From that, don't you think it's pretty easy for Trump Jr. to figure out who leaked this?

So....this was deliberate.

Because these sources are publicly anonymous, any account of their motivations will necessarily be speculative. Still, this story has all the hallmarks of a deliberate, strategic, White House-approved disclosure, so it’s worth asking just why the White House may have wanted to get this information out there.

I direct you back to Eric Holder's recent tweet and speculation that something was afoot that the agencies would have to "stay the course". Somebody has uncovered something significant - this is their way to trying to get ahead of it and say "but we told you already".

Interesting twist.

However, if this is Pence, that means he knew about the meetings and then, wouldn't he then be an accomplice?

That is an amazing time line. Just when the Russian 'thing' seem to cool down by not being front and center, then we have this.

As Senator Graham said in the article, Trump is literally the only person that he knows of that has any doubt as to what the Russians did in the 2016 election.

That is a doubt of convenience as far as I'm concerned.

So....it appears to me, the meeting went as follows:

Russia Lawyer: Look, we have these emails that are damaging for Clinton.

Trump Jr. (Actually Manafort because Trump Jr. is too stupid to figure this out): Hey.....we can not be seen as having possession of these. You have to release them some other way.

Russian Lawyer: Fine...but what's in it for us?

Manafort: The US is planning on arming the Ukranian resistance against you. We will get that stopped.

Russian Lawyer: OK....we can use Wikileaks to get them out.

Once Trump finds this all out, he is so excited he just couldn't keep his mouth shut on the campaign trail about Russians and emails.

Manafort had accomplished his value to the campaign so he was replaced.

Sounds about right.

This is just precious. This is about a month after he KNEW he met with a Russian lawyer where he thought he was going to get dirt on Clinton from the Russians.

Trump and his kids absolutely can't be trusted with what comes out of their mouths.

Look into the eyes and facial expressions of him when he knows he is telling a bald faced lie. At the end of the statement, he smirks thinking he is getting away with something really great.
