BIGREDIOWAN
This is me to a T right now............ https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/meet-trump-regretters-wish-change-vote-145438043.html I would've voted for Evan McMullin like I originally thought I would dammit. Really regret voting and falling for this guy's B.S. 4 Link to comment
knapplc
I should have voted for Evan McMullin over Clinton. I think we would all like a Mulligan on that vote. 2 Link to comment
mrandyk
83% polled say they are satisfied with his performance so far. What does it take to drive people away from strictly partisan voting? None of his pie in the sky bullsh#t is going to happen, and every single day has just been one fiasco after another. Link to comment

I'm not sure how anyone can agree with what he's doing or not doing right now. Live and learn I suppose Link to comment
BigRedBuster
BigRed....I'm glad your honest about that and I'm glad you have had an open mind. Question....what was the straw that broke the camel's back for you? Link to comment
Moiraine
BRI - one of my biggest pet peeves is that people treat politics like a sport and think it's do or die to support the person they voted for and they then become blind to what the person is doing and how their own moral compass changes. So it's nice seeing people admit they changed their mind or don't like a candidate that's of their party. I never liked Clinton but did vote for her. I like to think if she'd been this awful I would've admitted regret too. Link to comment

Question....what was the straw that broke the camel's back for you? Boy, that's tough because it's several things lumped together that has done if for me I think. 1. His general demeanor 2. His social media use and the negativity it brings 3. His constant battling with the media 4. His completely incompetent selections to assist in running our government 5. Poor foreign relations 6. Lies from the campaign trail, which isn't unique to him necessarily, but it's a mess 7. His position in reference to the environment I could go on and on, it's a giant circus and the entire world has to be laughing at us. 7 Link to comment
Popular Post QMany
BigRed....I'm glad your honest about that and I'm glad you have had an open mind. Question....what was the straw that broke the camel's back for you? I am intrigued as well. Before Election Day, we knew: Many women accused him of sexual assault He admitted and bragged about sexually assaulting women His ex-wife accused him of raping her under oath He solicited Russian hackers to get Clinton's emails He was under investigation and suit for widespread fraud with Trump University He bankrupt many companies He stiffed contractors He is an unfaithful husband He has 5 children with 3 different women He committed numerous violations of tenant, anti-trust, and casino laws He admitted multiple IRS self-dealing violations with Trump Foundation He was uncontrollable child on Twitter Called climate change a Chinese hoax Accused sitting President Obama of Kenya-born internet conspiracy Little-to-no policy knowledge I'm too tired to continue this crazy list... The article says: "...a meaningful minority of Trump voters said they’d be hurt by his healthcare policy, along with a rollback of environmental regulations, changes to trade agreements, tax cuts perceived to help the wealthy more than the middle class, and other Trump priorities." Weren't most of these bat-sh*t crazy policy positions known before these people voted for him? “If I knew what I know now, I wouldn’t have voted for him, because I think he’s a quack,” Dawe says. Yeah, we knew that prior to Election Day, too. “His talk about how everybody was going to prosper—I fell for it.” He fell for a slogan on a red hat worn by a reality TV show star. 10 Link to comment

I'm just praying that more and more of his voters start seeing this. 1 Link to comment

BIGREDIOWAN
I was blinded by my sheer and utter distaste for Clinton as I reflect back on my vote. I allowed it to cloud my judgement, but like I said before, I wouldn't have voted for her either. I allowed those feelings to come to the front of my mind and said to myself, "Anyone but Clinton!" At this point I'm like, "good god get the circus out of here!" 3 Link to comment

Known before Election Day, while the "fake news" smear campaign didn't get rolling until January 2017. 4. Known before Election Day when he hired Bannon, Trump children, et al. Although Rick Perry to position he had zero clue about was cherry on top. 5. Zero foreign relations experience prior, unless you count hosting Miss America pageants in Russia. 6. Known before Election Day, he's a pathological liar (too many examples to list). 7. Known before Election Day: "Environmental Protection, what they do is a disgrace." "We'll be fine with the environment." Chinese hoax to make US manufacturing non-competitive. I was blinded by my sheer and utter distaste for Clinton as I reflect back on my vote. knapplc
If it makes it better, I think if Clinton had won I'd be making a thread called Clinton Regretters about now. Her scandals would be different, and probably less damaging to the country, but I'd still be unhappy with her as president. 3 Link to comment
StPaulHusker
Considering Trump as the alternative, I wouldn't have regretted voting for Clinton. I would have voted for her a million times out of a million without question. 5 Link to comment
