Head Coach Scott Frost
It's a kind of a hard choice decision. So many heart breaking, soul crushing losses. 1 Quote Link to comment
ScottyIce
All of them..but probably the first Ohio state one... it's when we knew we weren't back for sure again. Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
I'm gonna say BYU in 2015, because it really laid a lot of doubt into my head about Riley and his staff and their ability to build a winner at NU. It started from game 1 for me. 2 Quote Link to comment
DrunkOffPunch
For me definitely Purdue. Still had hope at that point in time. Quote Link to comment
HuskerMav11
They don't even hurt anymore. Every year, it's just like "Yeah, this guy doesn't have it"... and you just kind of expect him to lose. And in this case, we all knew it. Quote Link to comment
Dansker
"All of them" isn't a choice? Quote Link to comment
Branno
That Purdue game was when I realized Riley wasn’t the guy. Backup QB and we air it out all day. Honestly though, the Illinois loss that year was worse. Quote Link to comment
Dansker
Also, why are you giving Ohio State more points? This is a rigged poll!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
luckyduck
Tough. Tonight sucked, but I was 100% expecting this. Last year we were ranked 10th iirc. I felt we had a slight chance. Voted Ohio last year. Quote Link to comment
Roll Skers
The game tonight did not hurt at all... BYU 2015 Miami 2015 Purdue 2015 Iowa 2016 Wiscsonsin 2016 Wisconsin 2015 Northern Illinois 2017 Illinois 2015 Nice Quote Link to comment
CheeseHusker
NIU or last week. Kinda waffling between them. Last week pretty much killed any confidence I had in this team doing anything, just because I felt like they actually played decently, and still got boat-raced. I kinda felt like we'd fired our best shot and still missed horribly, so yeah... Quote Link to comment
Head Coach Scott Frost
I think all of us deep down knew Riley wasn't going to work as soon as he was announced. I officially stopped drinking the koolaid after the Purdue game. We had a backup QB, it was really windy and Purdue had a really poor rush defense and Langs still had us throw the whole game. That kind of arrogance, that we could run any system and regardless of player talent, environment or anything and still be successful by Riley and Langs brought me back to reality about their coaching ability. Watching the defense get run over, the players' apathy, and the offense struggle convinced me Riley wasn't going to pan out. Quote Link to comment
ADS
Being in the stands tonight, with no expectations, was such a humbling experience. Tonight didn’t “hurt” but it was eye opening. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan92
Illinois in 2015 for me. The whole time I couldn't believe what a terrible gameplan they had, and then just the way it ended. I knew for sure after that game that Riley would never work out here Quote Link to comment
timmytbro
BYU because I knew this experiment was going to blow up. Quote Link to comment
