seaofred92
https://nebraska.rivals.com/news/huskers-add-ucf-starting-safety-neal-as-a-graduate-transfer Quote We are starting to get a better idea of how Nebraska plans to answer the major questions they have in their secondary heading into the 2018 season. HuskerOnline.com confirmed that Central Florida starting safety Tre Neal will follow his former head coach Scott Frost to NU as a graduate transfer. A source with knowledge of the situation has confirmed to HuskerOnline Neal has been granted his release from UCF, and Nebraska is not restricted as one of his options. Neal also later confirmed to HOL his transfer to Nebraska is a “done deal.” Neal is set to graduate from UCF at the end of this month, and from there he will be admitted into graduate school at NU and be immediately eligible for the 2018 season. The Atlanta native was fourth on UCF's team last year with 68 total tackles, 41 of which were solo stops. Neal also added three interceptions and was UCF's second-leading tackler returning for the 2018 season 1 Quote Link to comment
ADS
The rate at which Frost is flipping the roster is mind numbing. 6 Quote Link to comment

Which safety will be left out then? Williams will certainly start imo, maybe Reed is used situationally or moved down near the line of scrimmage. Quote Link to comment

I think Reed will be shifted down to the 5th DB in the nickel package, which will be the Base D the highest percentage of defensive snaps anyway. 2 Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
Any chance that one of the safeties who gets moved can help at CB? I am happy with this addition! Quote Link to comment

The only one probably capable of playing corner is AW, and he ain’t moving (when he’s back to 100%). Quote Link to comment
theknife
We just added a starter, another assistant coach for the guys to learn the new D, and another example of someone who knows what is expected from a culture standpoint. LETS GO! 2 Quote Link to comment
