True2tRA
Amukamara going to miss more time now. Just saw on ESPN that he has a high ankle sprain. Pretty sure those can keep a guy down for awhile. Especially a guy that has to make hard fast cuts on the field. Two years in a row now that Prince has been injured. Quote Link to comment

Hopefully he recovers quickly. 1 Quote Link to comment

I hadn't even heard about this until today. Sucks because it was pretty much a forgone conclusion that he was going to be the starter this year. Hope he can make it back relatively quickly. The Giants secondary will probably suck pretty hard until he does. Quote Link to comment
Alamo City Husker
"New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara isn’t your average NFL player. Not only doe she say some have dubbed him “the black Tim Tebow,” he’s also an unashamed Christian who prides himself on avoiding alcohol, being chaste and living a life devoid of the antics and pleasantries that are regularly enjoyed by other professional jocks" With all the crap going on this week....Its good to hear some GOOD news about Husker Football and not tabloid journalism. Guy Chamberlin
When I opened this I honestly wasn't sure if being called The Black Tim Tebow was considered a good thing. 1 Quote Link to comment
Bowfin
The problem with guys such as Amukamara in the NFL is that they end up making more money than they spend...WAY more. No drinking, no drugs, no wrecked Escalades and impounded Mercedes, no lawyers, no "Baby's mamas" looking for a monthly check...this can lead to a snowballing bank account, maybe more than can be covered by the FDIC if he isn't careful to start an additional account. Enter Vince Young Financial Management Enterprises. Vince can introduce Prince to a cousin/friend/lackey/some guy I met, who will help Prince promote outward cash flows in a variety of businesses, such as rap recording studios, adult entertainment VIP rooms, and lawsuit settlement services, leaving Prince free of money and free of income and all the worries associated with financial independence. Seriously though, it is nice to see a guy make the best of his talents and his opportunities. 1 Quote Link to comment

Bigred_inSD
And Prince doesn't go around blowing himself up to the media for his beliefs. 1 Quote Link to comment
Landlord
And Prince doesn't go around blowing himself up to the media for his beliefs. Prince also doesn't have the media chasing after him. It's a two-way street, and it's easy to condemn someone for a situation you can't possibly imagine. Prince is a great guy - I've had a few opportunities to get to know him a little bit. Roy Helu is the same way, as is Rex, as is Imani, as are so many other young men that have come through our program and centering their life around the gospel. 2 Quote Link to comment

Bowfin
Tebow in New York was an absolute cluster frick of media trying to make stories where none existed. That whole town is a poorly written reality TV show. Where else can a Congressman who tweets his Oscar Meyer indiscriminately around the country make a serious run for mayor...with a last name of Weiner? The only reason that the Jets grabbed Woodhead is because they thought he would be some sort of cute carney side show midget football player. Then they lost interest, and Belichek, (who would throw his own destitute mother off the practice squad if he thought it would help) grabbed Woodhead as just a plain old football player and kicked Ryan's *ss with him...repeatedly. So, Tebow is just Tebow. He certainly is no more forward in his faith than our coach Ron Brown, he just draws a lot more haters for it. Quote Link to comment
