Uhm.....is somebody really protesting Che Guevara in 2022?  Hard to say what's politically incorrect when the cause itself is baffling.

No. I think they were protesting Che Guevara Day. It must be something the University sponsors. Sort of like protesting Columbus Day and trying to get it removed.

I didn't know this story. fast track exec at Levi's claims to have been run out based on her school closure and mask mandate stances.

Seems like she may have actually quit... then wrote a memoir.

Elon takes over the twitter today.

I'm a little surprised, honestly, that he went through with it. $44B isn't chump change even to a guy like Musk.

Rolling like heads on a chopping block, that is....

Musk begins his Twitter ownership with firings

Musk fired Twitter Chief Executive Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal and legal affairs and policy chief Vijaya Gadde, according to people familiar with the matter. He had accused them of misleading him and Twitter investors over the number of fake accounts on the platform.

Agrawal and Segal were in Twitter's San Francisco headquarters when the deal closed and were escorted out, the sources added.

The "escorted out" part is lame.  Those dorks just got HUGE payouts, they got paid millions to NOT work...none of them are going to steal a f#&%ing stapler on the way out.  They are going to party and enjoy financial freedom that 99% of the population could never comprehend.

Simply put, don't be an a$$ just to be an a$$.  Stop escorting people out of the building.

I have always hated that, it is so dorky.

Maybe they just don't want anyone to go "Jerry Maguire" and take some employees with

Can’t wait. Gonna have a lot more fun on Twitter. A lot of dorks are gonna leave. Most will not follow through with that promise. Seems eerily similar in that regard to the dummies who said they were gonna move to Canada post Donnie Poo Poo.

The amazing thing is, the losers that claim they don't want certain people on Twitter...actually want them on Twitter.  So that they have something to complain about.

It is sooooo easy to not follow people on twitter and not get worked up BUT a lot of people, the super dorks, NEED that audience and they NEED everyone know that they are mad and offended.

The thing that makes me laugh about Twitter rules is Donald is banned for mean words but members of ISIS and the Taliban can have Twitter accounts and spew “misinformation” and use it to recruit members. Pure hilarity.

And Iowa fans can tweet about how great Kirk Ferenz is...but they are not banned for lies??

I'm not on Twitter, never have been.  I just don't see why folks are excited to watch social media be even worse than it already is.

People were not just getting censored/banned for being s#!theads. Legitimate discourse from accounts was banned as hate speech, misinformation, etc. social media censorship is critical for elections/voting. And they know it. Twitter was however for much smaller accounts very much the Wild West.

Likely what will actually happen is it will be rowdy at first, lose profit, then become more censored at it matures.

That’s about how I see it.  Example of this was It was crazy to see accounts suspended for “Covid misinformation” when the things posted ended up being true.

I think Elon is in this to clean it up from the inside, right the ship, figure out the advertising thing and get it ready to go public again if/when the value exceeds $60 billion market cap on an IPO similar to what a PE firm would do.  He could still structure in a way where he is de facto majority vote holder.

There are obviously issues with Twitter that need addressed.

However, I think Musk is going to be a disaster.  Yes, there are issues.  But, fixing them are way more complicated than many admit.
