funhusker
That was then. By its own definition, the alt-right is no more. Because it’s no longer an alternative to the right. It may be more true than we’d want to admit. Even here on Huskerboard, you can see posters talking about it being time to kick the Romney’s and McCains to the curb. The article doesn’t say that 100% of republicans are alt-right, but they are the base voters now. There is a reason people like Graham and Rubio saddled up with Trump after saying he in no way should represent the party. Lindsay Graham, in an interview, said (I’m paraphrasing), “I switched gears on Trump because the people of South Carolina support him”. The Arizona GOP is another example. What a train wreck! 2 1 Link to comment

What a train wreck! if the GOP wants to drive theri moderates out....more power to them. but they should not be shocked when they don't have enough votes to win elections after driving so many out of the party and they vote with the dems against their old party. it's wild speculation on my part......but i think that could be why dems have both houses of congress and Joe is president right now. shrinking your support is a bold strategy....let's see how it works for the GOP 2 Link to comment

I was a registered R for 34 years. 80% of my friend and family circle are registered Rs. I can think of 1 or 2 that are full on conspiracy/Q types. None are alt right/white supremacists. I could make a similar claim, with only anecdotal references, that the D base is overwhelmingly far left/antifa/full on socialists...and I don't believe that either Link to comment
