Yeah, and probably has to do with the naturally smaller total population and potential to change their minds. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.07.20.21260795v1.full-text Quote The large decrease in COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy January-May among those with ≤high school education went a long way towards narrowing the education gap; still this group has a relatively high hesitancy prevalence. Those with professional degrees (e.g., JD, MBA) and PhDs were the only education groups without a decrease in hesitancy, and by May, those with PhDs had the highest hesitancy. To our knowledge, no other study has evaluated education with this level of granularity, which was possible due to our unusually large sample size (>10,000 participants with PhDs). Further investigation into hesitancy among those with a PhD is warranted. Lorewarn beat me to it. Link to comment

Here's a helpful tip - any website that uses memes to prove its point, or editorializes how a study demolishes or owns a tribe or narrative, isn't a reputable news source. Anyways, let's take a look at the actual study itself and not the right wing libertarian bulgarian financial blog that writers sign pieces as 'Tyler Durden' on. First of all, the study is focused on January to May. The first vaccine administered in the states was December 14th, so starting just over two weeks after. Here is their result summary (emphasis mine): Some other excerpts: I’m trying to figure out why the headline was salacious and you are so hurt by the Cambridge Study? Doesn’t seem like you pointed out any inaccuracies and the context seemed pretty spot on for data in the study 1 Link to comment

The article itself says that the highest hesitancy is among the most educated and the least educated. Removing half of a sentiment that focuses on two separate factors is not "spot on" context in any estimation, it's literally missing half the context. At any rate, I'm not hurt by the study (what does that even mean?). I find it interesting. 3 Link to comment

AstraZeneca to withdraw COVID-19 vaccine worldwide due to low demand The vaccine was first approved by European regulators early on in the pandemic and had more than $4 billion in global sales in 2021, according to company earnings statements. However, concerns over the safety of Vaxzevria grew after several countries suspended its use when blood clots were detected in a small number of vaccinated patients. Regulators later concluded that Vaxzevria did not increase the overall risk of clots. But concerns about the vaccine remained and many countries resorted to the more effective shots made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna. AstraZeneca's vaccine is now rarely used around the globe, and the company reported that sales fell to just $12 million last year. 3 1 1 Link to comment

knapplc
So, not trolling. Just willing to pass along anti-vaxx propaganda. By 31 March 20.2 million doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca had been given in the UK meaning the overall risk of these blood clots is approximately 4 people in a million who receive the vaccine. Four people in ONE MILLION PEOPLE had evidence of blood clots. And you're using this as evidence to support nutter RFKJR's anti-vaxx nuttery. Galaxy brain stuff here. 2 3 3 1 Link to comment

There is a 0.0004% chance of developing these clots. That's not why it was pulled. I mean, do they not teach basic math to people anymore? I'm notoriously terrible at math, and this is easy to figure out. 1 3 Link to comment

JJ Husker
If RFKjr ends up being right about anything, I’m pretty sure it will be random coincidence. Guy is a nutter. Only thing he’s said that I believe is that a worm ate part of his brain. That checks out. 2 2 Link to comment

Thanks for your statistical addition Because your information is horrible and clearly trolling antivaxer propaganda. According to healthcare.gov the risk of a blood clot from the AZ vaccine is 2 to 3 out of 100,000. The risk of a clot from birth control is 10 to 20 per 10,000!!! And yet nobody gives a flying f#&% about pulling BC off the shelves. 2 2 Link to comment
