It seems to me the senate might have a slightly smaller % of morons than the House but I'm still not gonna be hopeful about it. I was thinking about this too. The Democrats need to get the senate before Kennedy retires or anyone else retires or dies. The Republicans set a bad precedent with the supreme court by ignoring Obama's nominee. I think the Democrats have to do it to Trump now. I don't know what other choice they have. I think the law should be followed but I would also kind of think they're chumps for following it now after the crap the GOP pulled. On Kennedy, we may be hosed either way. If he does retire this summer I'd think they'd rush a replacement through before the elections in the fall just to ensure they have a majority. I really hope it doesn't come to this. Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Yeah....sure. And you’re more trained to understand intelligence than they are. 2 Link to comment
NM11046
Yup. The CIA misinterpreteted info. You know, the career guys that look at evidence and info for a living. The suits that get paid by the NRA and are influenced by the Kremlin and god knows who else were the ones to actually look at info and get it right. Didn't mention the other agencies here and abroad that said the same thing did he? 2 Link to comment

schriznoeder
The fact that the FBI is getting involved is intriguing to say the least. I mean, I'm sure they deploy agents to foreign prisons thousands of miles away to question Russian escorts on a daily basis, right? Link to comment

TGHusker
Ok, if you want to know what Trump backers are thinking, look no further than Jerome Crosi. Newsmax is pushing his book as a free gift to subscribe to their magazine. Does Jerome Crosi sound familiar - it will if you are a dem and supported John Kerry for president. Crosi 'swift boated' him with his book during the election. Jerome, never far from conspiracy theories, also led the discussion with his book on the inevitable North American Union. According to Crosi - the deep state is the real enemy, the real law breaking villain in this whole Russia saga. https://w3.newsmax.com/general/nmm/offers/killing-the-deep-state-disc?dkt_nbr=070101uwae1x 2 Link to comment
TGHusker
Oh, and by the way - after seeing the above 'book endorsement' from Newsmax, I removed Newsmax from my toolbar and replaced wt Vox and Axios after reading the above. 2 Link to comment

Much better choices. You'll get the inside scoop from Axios (since a lot of the time they report the take the Trump admin wants you to hear, straight from them) & a fantastic source with a more liberal bent in Vox. I still think the Newsmax guy is carrying water for Trump. Link to comment

Quote A Thai Immigration Bureau official told CNN that if the group is deported, they will either be sent back to their native country "or a country they want to go to with conditions." They say they want help from the U.S. because they'll get killed by the Russians. I doubt they'd be safe for long in Belarus if the Russians are actually interested in them. NM11046
Minority report is out and boy is it interesting. Lordy, sounds like there are tapes. "The Minority has a good faith reason to believe that the White House does in fact possess such documentation memorializing President Trump’s conversations with Director Comey." 3 Link to comment

Moiraine
Quote The number of members on a committee and the ratio of majority/minority members is determined by the Majority party with consultation with the minority. If the Democrats flip the House, maybe they can open up the investigation again. It's 13-9 right now. Edited March 14, 2018 by Moiraine Link to comment

There's still investigations by the special investigator and the Senate. The House investigation was a sham and was leaking info to the Trump admin, so it's probably better that's it's ended.
