This is after news broke that Trump had one of his aides tell Tillerson yesterday that he was done. In fact, Tillerson's aide that contradicted the WH's official statement was ALSO just fired.

Yeah, I saw that!  I must be reading different sources than you.  I saw that Kelly told Tillerson to expect a tweet sometime in the next few days, then he returned home from Africa a day early and saw the tweet.  That Tillerson's staff aide responded that the firing was unexpected, that he didn't know what he did wrong and he was planning on staying and then was canned "for telling the truth".

Doesn't matter one day or the next.  It was handled poorly, or rather typically for this fella. The fact that he refuses to make a call or have a face to face to fire these high ranking officials is just cowardly.

Supposedly the next one to go is McMaster ... rumors that's in the next couple days and that there might be more.  That he's done being surrounded by people who don't "back him up".  This worries the crap out of me.

Trump has a way of uniting all of us from  across the full political spectrum excluding the alt right.

Saw a tweet that said POTUS is in a better mood than he's been in for a long, long time. They said it was because "He's finally running the WH like he ran the Trump organization and he loves it."

So I would assume that means he fires anybody who dares challenge him and anyone who doesn't kiss his butt better watch out.

That is NOT how we should run our government. But, you know what they say: Pride comes before the fall. Hope he enjoys his time before the sh#t hits the fan.

The Trump administration leveled new sanctions Thursday on five institutions and 19 individuals tied to Russia's government, citing Moscow's 2016 election interference and the recent nerve gas attack in Salisbury, England among a laundry list of reasons.

The sanctions push came as President Donald Trump said it 'looks like' Russia was behind the poisoning of Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Britain.

'It certainly looks like the Russians were behind it,' Trump said, following fury in Great Britain over the poisoning using a chemical agent that is manufactured in Russia.

'Something that should never ever happen. And we’re taking it very seriously as I think are many others,' Trump said.

Trump, who gained a reputation for avoiding opportunities to speak ill of Russian President Vladimir Putin, spoke about the attack in the Oval Office along with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar.

He didn't answer an initial question about the sanctions on Russians generally, but then responded when asked if it Putin was 'behind this.'

'It looks like it,' Trump said, noting he spoke with British Prime Minister Theresa May. 'I spoke with the prime minister and we are in deep discussions, a very sad situation,' Trump said.

A senior national security official told reporters about the sanctions, which the Treasury Department rolled out more than a year after the election interference campaign took place.

'These sanctions target a wide range of Russia's destabilizing activities, including interference in the 2016 U.S. election, said the official.

''We continue to be very focused ... on pressuring Russia for its continued efforts to destabilize Ukraine, occupy Crimea, meddle in elections, as well as for its endemic corruption and human rights abuses.'
