    Woke up this morning not reaching for glasses and able to see 20/20 for the first time in almost 25 years. Prior to today, I couldn’t see anything in focus that was more than 6” in front me of (there’s a joke or two somewhere in there). Thank the Lord for smart people who invented LASIK because this is effin awesome.

    Best PE game?  We did Strobe Light Dodgeball...all the lights off (no windows in this gym) and the teacher turned on a strobe light...it was amazing!

      Rounders: it’s a variance of baseball played in a gym with a smaller rubber ball. There is a catcher who bounces the ball on home plate, the hitter “swings” with their fist to hit the ball. If it’s caught on the fly, the batter is out. If the batted ball hits the ground, the defense has to retrieve the ball and throw back to the catcher at home. As a runner you have he option to advance or just stay on your base after the ball is hit, multiple players can be on one base at a time. Any runner off of the bag when the catcher has the ball at home is considered “out.”  The half inning ends once there are no more batters remaining and then you change sides.

       

      We played this in elementary school and usually had to set a time limit for who was on offense to allow each side a chance to hit. The entire gym is in play, I guess like cricket. It was easily the most popular game at recess, even for the girls.

    So basically, one comment each from Frost and Greg Austin and the majority of the fan base thought that Jurgens was going to be the next Dave Rimington?

    This is why in all seriousness I used to force myself to not pay any attention to spring ball/fall camp info in the post-Solich era.
