Oh man. Those are really bad too. We have a three keeper league and half of them were in a hissy because one guy didn't announce his final keeper on time. Put to a league vote and they wouldn't allow it. Of course one of the vocal guys specifically targeted the player at hand. Self interest is running high in this league and it's making me rethink playing on next year.

Redux: I've been added to a baseball league like that where they let me and the other new guy pick our first 3 players to "catch" up to their 3 keepers, and then start from there. It worked fine for us. Sad how different people blow up over little things like that.

Well the stupid part is they all had the option of keepin 1, 2 or 0 players. The new guys obviously had no carryover so couldn't keep. Finally had to settle on EVERYONE HAD to keep 1 player since it would count as first pick, then the 2 new guys got to pick a guy.

Yeah, I thought Walsh had a particularly poor showing in that first Brazil match. I guess I shouldn't expect her to always be the best on the court. She is 38 after all. But it did seem like Ross was holding up her end. Oh well, that string of never losing was getting a bit ridiculous.

Yeah that final was tough to watch, give credit to Brazil for owning that match, Walsh/Jennings couldn't get into rhythm. Also, the indoor VB team had the lead on Serbia in the 5th set today but committed 4-5 unforced errors in that set, Serbia ended scoring 8 of the final 11 points to take the match.

Yup I can see the parallels, the only difference is being an alumnus. His was tiring and tough to handle at SF. My friend who went to USD when he was the HC there said he was easily loved or hated because of his personality. One difference though is JH goes out of his way to attract attention, BP wanted nothing to do with attention

I like how JH goes after SEC and there are some points he makes that I'm onboard with. Some other aspects he is so tough to take, and his sideline behavior is one of them.

I can handle maybe 2 or 3 seconds of Jim Rome but thankfully I haven't heard his voice in years.

Went to Stir Cove last night, and was sitting in a literal swamp all night. The duck butter was STRONG.

Waited in line for 2 hours to be told nothing more than what Omaha employees had already done for me. One lady couldn't find a connection until Friday night. Delta flights out of Midway tripled in price during my wait in line. The good news is, unless more delays occur, I'll catch my first game at Fenway still and make it to Cooperstown on schedule for The Kid's HOF induction, Piazza's too I guess.

Definitely want to see him succeed and catch on, just have my doubts it'll happen. If anyone is bitter he chose baseball over huskers, they're not even worth engaging a conversation with.

I've always wanted to visit the PNW. Seattle seems like a fun place to visit.

I always recommend after July 4th to early September, otherwise high % for rain, unless you're into that sort of weather.
