Not sure about winter sport athletes.  I could see either way.  But they did get to play almost all their season.  

Spring sports should and the NCAA has already done that.

Please, please, please include BB players!   Can you imagine how many grad transfers that would put into play??  Hoiberg would fill up the gym with them!!

One of those musicians from that era that I love his music but never really knew who sang it.

Seems like he had just a handful of hits.  But they were huge hits.  RIP Bill Withers.  

He is one of my favorite Huskers.

He still has eligibility left? Lol. JK- he represents us well. 

It's not uncommon for people to coast after stuffing their retirement fund.

Lots of good coaches move up to the big leagues and don’t have same success. Frost had the pick of the litter for his conference in talent rich FL. Now he is middle of the pack in a much better conference. Surprised he has not done better but he was the right hire.  Going to take time.  I don’t like it but sometimes we all need to vent on message boards. I’m trying to do less of that and evaluate once the season is done.

All B1G teams, barring COVID cancellations, are playing next weekend.

They are announcing the matchups tomorrow.

I’m from Missouri and have always rooted for the Chiefs but I’ve lived in Nebraska longer than I lived in Mizzou so I’m a bit torn. I think the Chiefs will win this one but the Bengals will give it their best shot.

TBH... Watching the game, the "shock" becomes even more "in your face". They tried and tried to give the game away. Minnesota looked exhausted and worn out.. We were the better team but dang, this team does so many things that make me SMH!! Something needs to happen with the staff for Hoiberg  to remain... Don't understand why the ladies programs can be competitive and relevant in most if not all the programs and the men are literally the bottom dwellers in all but 2 sports. (wrestling and baseball)... For me, I've found myself gravitating more and more to Creighton men's teams and Lady Husker teams. 2022 football will be a determining factor for me.

The Huskers held off the couple of times the Buckeyes made a run. It was fun to see them play well again!

It certainly was an exciting game. 

It won't; it'll be nearly identical to how it was when IMG had Nebraska's media rights before last year. 

I shared this on the main board: I wish KFAB still broadcasted Husker sports. Better reception and the announcers weren’t competing with the background crown noise!

It’s only going to get worse as fewer people are choosing to enter the ranks at the high school level. I recently heard figures that said the average age of refs in Nebraska at the high school level and above was mid to late 50’s. 

Yeah, I heard that too. Sad. 

I have often wondered what his NFL career would have been like. Possibly joined an NFL team as a back up for several years then at some point take over from the starter when he was hurt. He leads that team into the playoffs and wins the first round game.

On the other hand he may have been drafted but was cut and decided to become an airline pilot and would still be working but getting close to retirement. His future was so bright. He left us way too early.

I agree. He mentioned preferring the Kansas City Chiefs or Denver Broncos. Both teams close to home. He was an amazing young man who touched many lives before going ‘home’. 

I'm a closet Bengals fan, so this pleases me.

WHO DEY!!! keep that Nebraska/Cincinnati connection going!!  I think Cam can be a pretty good DB in a few years with the right coaching. Physically he's got the tools just lacks some mental stuff imo.  Coach Taylor is doing an incredible job this off season so far

It is crazy to think that 3 players who's careers overlapped have all passed away so young. Sam Foltz, Mark Pelini and now Cole Pensick.

Randy and my dad were good friends growing up in Scottsbluff.  They even became neighbors after HS, before Randy moved out to LA and when Randy came back from LA, he stayed with my parents before moving back out to LA.   They remained friends throughout the years and my Dad is pretty heartbroken with Randy's passing.
