  2. Chief's Jamal Charles injured his foot. Now as a Broncos fan, by no means am I celebrating anyone's injury. Bwahahahaha! Your season might just have went from bad, to worse! Not that we were concerned about the Chefs in the first place.

Not sure if you've ever played fantasy football, but in a twelve team league, twelve rounds of picks, you might want to take a look at the draft board........not much there.

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

I'd say bulkhead might have been a steal compared to the garbage I was sorting through in the final round

Stupid auto correct. Tired of fixing its auto fuckups all the time

  4. Rodgers was simply one of the best.

How is it that Barry Sanders had the best ever NFL career--but Jet, not so much? You can't tell me that Barry had any better moves than Johnny Rodgers in college.

    2. blessed2bahusker

      blessed2bahusker

Barry was little bowling ball though once he put on the weight. Very durable and prototype NFL RB size.

  5. Hard Knocks is a kick ass show. Unfortunately it seems the Bengals are really in love with that other RB.

      KJ.

Which one you guys talking about? Their first RB they picked?

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Yea, that Giovani Bernard I think his name is KJ. The coaches seemed to have a lovefest with him all throughout the first episode of Hard Knocks.

Well ... they are the Bengals ...

  6. Listening to the radio right now and they were discussing Georgia. They made a valid point that is kind of exciting to think about. Technically you could have considered Georgia possibly the second best team in the country by the end of the year. Technically.......we hung with them pretty damn well for a majority of that game. I know it got a bit ugly at the end due to their depth vs. ours, but bright side is we really did a pretty decent job against a very elite team.

      QMany

The secondary didn't play poor at all. They caught an elite NCAA QB on a career day. Throws were in perfect places. Hell, 20% of the passing yards were on one play where we got out-coached.

    3. Creighton Duke

      Creighton Duke

Injuries to just about every starter. Look at the stat lines of the Georgia receivers for that game and then look at what they had done the rest of the year.

    4. NUance

      NUance

Not sure about their receivers. But that Georgia team took Alabama down to the final series in the SEC championship game.

  7. I'm tired of hearing how this team is staying hungry. Hungry? Hell, they should be starving. They haven't even taken a bite of anything yet.

  11. As great of a receiving threat our corps of WR's is this year, do many people take the time to watch what a great group of blockers these guys are in the run game? Fantastic

      The Dude

      Yes and yes.

    2. HuskerNationNick

      HuskerNationNick

Yep, Bell and Enunwa just to name two, are tremendous blockers. They are what helped our run game out a lot last year.

    3. Warrior10

      Warrior10

Alonzo Moore's best play of the spring game was a block. Wasn't showy or a big hit..just sealed the edge on the toss and let the RB get in the endzone.

    1. Foppa

      Foppa

I'm sure there are inmates err NFL players who had no idea what that was all about. It's such a waste of time trying to figure out right from wrong anyway.

  12. I miss the steroid era. The Homerun Derby no the same without some good ole' Roids. I wouldn't miss Berman if he fell off the upper deck though.....BACK BACK BACK BACK ......GONE.

  13. I didn't see this til now......" if Nebraska had offered me 6 months ago I probably wouldn't even have made that trip to Stanford ".........

I don't fault him at all. Clearly Stanford is the better school with a currently better football program. What's even more clear is that they wanted him more than we did. I'd say that's a stacked deck in Stanford's favor.

    3. tschu

      tschu

It's funny how people like to use the academics at Northwestern and Stanford as a crutch as to why they might struggle recruiting, but it works the opposite way as well. Lots of kids can get lured by the ability to get a really good degree that they'd otherwise pay a ton of money for.

I was not a fan in the beginning. I have to admit, I've come around and gained some respect for this young man. I think this year is going to make a statement.

    2. husker07

      husker07

Was just a little too young for the teams in the 90s/00s to get really emotionally invested. That night was the best I ever felt as a husker fan. Really thought we were going places that year.

  17. Could Dennard have worse timing? I mean, not only stupid as hell to be driving under the influence, but one would think you might want to keep your nose clean as a New England Patriot right now.

    1. NUance

      NUance

His timing was pretty bad on the first arrest too. A week before the draft. Doooh!

    2. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Good point. I usually believe in second chances and not being quick to judge, but I believe there is enough evidence to pronounce this guy a f'ing moron at this point. Stop doing what you're doing Dennard, it isn't working out for you.

    3. NUance

      NUance

I just wonder if he shitted away his football career with this deal. Probably get cut by the Pats. Or traded. They can't afford any more bad press right now.

  18. stoltenberg already N. Phillips got offered today. Hmmm...I seem to remember a conversation about these two and how important it was to keep them in the state....looks like this coaching staff finally recognized that as well.

The Dude said it. Gross. All jokes aside though, that tunnel walk actually seemed pretty good up until the middle 2nd qtr. against USC. Yes, I'm blaming the tunnel walk. Pedey gets a pass on this one.

All I read was "This is my wife's favorite tunnel". So I was like, sweet, a lesbian. Then I saw it was a football clip. Boo.

Yep C is right. It would be interesting to know if there is another team in history that completed a nine or more game season and did not allow a single point all year. Amazing stat.
