  1. Going back on Noonkick and checking out some Oregon St. games. Man, I like a lot of what they do. Totally different than whatnive been watching the last seven years. I'm excited.

If you have a NFL QB and a 1st round WR,you throw the ball. That is simply getting the ball to your best player. He has had run heavy teams when he had NFL RBs.

Jeremys comment is whats kinds been drivin me nuts. Kneejerkin over just the last couple years instead of lookin at the body of work.

We need to be efficient and effective. I don't give a f#*k if it's running or throwing personally. Running has just seemed to be the way around here to accomplish that. Especially when you have Ameer Abdullah in the backfield. I want a coach who is smart enough to know what's he's got and utilize it. When we have to throw, throw high percentage passes.

  2. Osborne got the last laugh....awesome. Get a Championship game Big 12, you don't get to just walk into this playoff. Speaking of playoff. How fraking fantastic is this gonnabe? Damn great football. Can't wait.

      They can't expand?

  3. Serious question: why is Coach Kaz a name being mentioned by many as hoping to be retained? With the talent on our front four, most guys would have a hayday every game. Gregory should be a sack master. Valentine and Collins should be TFL machines. If Kaz's shortcomings were due to Bo's two gap nonsense, then maybe Kaz should have had some influence in his own unit.

    1. Mavric

      Mavric

He has a Top 5 NFL pick, a second-team all-B1G as a soph and most of the line is young. He had a defensive POY at Iowa not to mention putting several guys in the NFL. I think he's pretty proven.

    2. The Dude

      The Dude

Gregory is still very raw. His potential draft status has more to do with his physical ability than anything. D-line was more hype than subastance imo.

    3. huKSer

      huKSer

Well, he wasn't the DC so he couldn't do what ever he wanted to do, he had to do what he was told to do, scheme-wise.

  4. Dude just got Kenny Bell'd.

They are single handedly ruing the game of football. Did they see what Jones did when he lead with his head?!

  5. There are a lot of really good football teams this year.

  6. I was able to,listen to the introduction of Cosch Riley on the radio. Man, that guy said everything I wanted to hear. Especially when he said it wasn't about "his system" it was about building the system around the talent he has. Ding Ding Ding! I think we've got a good one here. I cant wait to see his team put it on the field.

It's going to be really interesting to me to see next years roster.

  7. I'm rooting for this coach and his staff, but even more, I'm rooting for the leaders on this team. Step up men, be the ones that turn this thing up a notch and rally the guys around you. This can go two directions, its up to you. Buy in and give the guy a fair shake.

  8. Good discussion on Big Red Wrap Up tonight. Agreed with a lot of points made by Sipple and Chatelain.

Chatelain said another coach comes in and "easily" wins 8-9 games. Sipple kind of shook his head at the "easily" part. Both admitted Nebraska has talent. Chatelain obviously felt it was time. Both seemed impressed somewhat with Eichorst and felt like Eichorst has an immediate plan. Sipple said something about respecting Iowa. Chatelain responded "they have a pulse" or something to that affect.....kind of a jab.

They just talked about the lack of identity affecting the mentality of the players. Not knowing what to expect week to week made it hard to establish a mindset.

Lots of stuff we've said here, but our stuff is scattered all over. They said a lot all at once, but it was stuff we'd all agree with.

I don't know, there was more, I can't remember it all. They'll have a replay on the NET website soon I think.

    4. ladyhawke

      ladyhawke

It's on again tonight at 11:00 p.m. if you missed it. They really talked up that Shaw guy. I also got the impression that Eichorst knows who the next coach is going to be or already had a short list last year and is acting on it now.

  9. Boy, with the rant against Tressel that Adrian Fiala had on the radio earlier, I can only hope for his sake that he has never made a mistake that someday comes to light. I'd hate people to judge his entire life based on a short stint in his life which he made some poor choices.

Tressel paid for knapps trampstamp...Fiala knew it and is only now bringing it to light.

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

I can confirm. Knapp does have a trampstamp. It explains the disgust in Fialas voice.

Just kidding Knapp. I happen to think your trampstamp is beautiful.

  10. Oh CHIEFS fans.....did you think I wasn't gonna talk a little trash even with today's events? Well...sorry. FAQ the CHIEFS ......GO BRONCOS! Later y'all.

  11. You don't make this move without something already in the works. There's a plan, and probably a great one. Eichorst seems slow and methodical in his decisions. Or at least, not over reactive.

      True2tRA

I'm really skeptical of that too The Dude. I just think Bo has his hands in everything. I guess, if at least an OC change were to happen, it would depend on who he hired or was pushed to hire. It can't just be another one of his Younstown Yes men.

Count me out too, if this is the case. Money will be spent elsewhere.

  15. Man.....Iowa truly Beck'd themselves.

    1. Danny Bateman

Greg Davis and Tim Beck are actually pretty good comps. Both fan bases despise each guy.

    2. True2tRA

      True2tRA

I wouldn't like either as a OC but I'd take Davis's playbook and philosophy and not his play calling. I don't like anything about what Beck does. Just my opinion of course.

  16. Pierson El BABY!!!!!!!!!!

  17. I'm happier for Drew Ott than I've been for any Husker player since the Miami game. Drew Ott is a kid from Nebraska who plays for Iowa, for those who don't know.

  18. The physical demands this scheme puts on a player, especially defensive linemen, end of the season, guys are worn down and we are headed into a game against what Ron Brown calls probably the most physical team we play all year. All on a short week after a physical Minnesota team. Eeesh.

    1. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

Quit worrying about the program man. Enjoy your thanksgiving. We got plenty of time to mwltdown and speculate the rest of the weekend.

  19. I think we need to be patient with Bo. I just think six or seven more years in this system and these guys on defense are gonna start to get it. Execution will be at a high level for sure 8 years from now. Gerry, McMullen, Gregroy, and Mitchell will all be 30 years old and should have the needed experience.

  20. Nebraska fans want to fire a Head Coach that dominated Florida Atlantic, Fresno St., Illinois, and Rutgers. Y'all are crazy. Dem some good ass foose ball teams.

Ronald McDonald, makes some good pie. Can't go wrong with some good pie.

  21. I can't feel bad about what might happen. A first time HC who assumes he already knows it all will always find out he don't know sh#t..

  22. Kind of sick of the "well, the sun came up today" comments. Cornnation should pull their head out of their ass. Whoever ZiggyinYork is should not be allowed to write anymore.

Doesn't it piss you off! Especially when you know you're right and they are wrong. So frustrating. Why can't everyone just agree with me? I'm obviously brilliantly smart, handsome beyond belief, and smooth with the ladies.

    3. Geaux Big Red

      Geaux Big Red

I like to think I'm never wrong but that's false. I am every once in awhile but that's because somebody didn't give me all the information I needed to arrive at the right one. So maybe I am always right?

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

I'm with you and Bo. When I'm wrong, its always someone else's fault.

  23. Steve Sipple seems like he'd be an okay guy to have a beer with but man his hypocrisy is mind numbing. How can a man defend Bo with complete certainty, then shun criticism because he's not close enough to the inner workings of the team?

    3. Danny Bateman

      Danny Bateman

He doesn't want to risk being the closest media member to the team, IMO, so he ends up being Bo's mouthpiece.

    4. Chimalli

      Chimalli

I tried my hardest to write that like a Sipple article intro.

  24. I feel bad for the seniors. But like I told the team, we lost because we didn't deserve to win. We didn't play well enough. We had too many busts. Our execution was subpar. Our tackling was horrendous. Too much leaky yardage. We beat ourselves in a lot of instances. We lost some opportunities, obviously on offense. Put the ball on the ground. "

  25. I'm not embarrassed after this one like last week. Of course, I think I was one of a few that respected Minnesota. Still surprised they beat us at home. Kind of inspiring to see Coach Kill do such a great job.
