This was always expected, and possibly more. MSU isn't just gonna sit back and not acquire quarterbacks.

What's the difference then between Nebraska and MSU?  Nebraska isn't just gonna sit back and not acquire quarterbacks either.

I think a good QB coach would love to work with a gamer like him who has a strong arm but throws wonky sidearm passes

If he were still 15 years old maybe he could improve his motion, but very few guys are really able to make that big of a change to their throwing motion by the time they get to college. And Haarberg would need a HUGE overhaul to be a realistic option at QB, not a little tweak.

'Tweaking his throwing motion' might seem like a path of less resistance than switching to another position, but it's really not.

Exactly. Everyone will keep acquiring talent and the grass isn't always greener. Dozens of transfers every year learn this lesson the hard way.

Presumably, one of those places is somewhere he wants to play at and the other is the place he's running towards. There could obviously be a lot of issues other than just competition that we just don't know about and maybe never will.

Some of the deep thinking going on inside this thread is pretty fantastic lol.  Whatever the outcome, it has been worth it to read our own fan bases reactions to all of this.

Pfft...

We have a group of Ladies winning not just conference awards (yes, conference awards too) but national awards.

The Ladies who have fought, clawed and stood the course. They've achieved the pinnacle of their sport. They're actually doing their part to carry the Husker Brand and barely a word from this board. Instead, it's a constant rant about what didn't happen and could have happened.

here's what didn't happen: The men's programs, outside of baseball, haven't achieved a single conference championship in years. The football team can't even reach a mediocre bowl game fhs.. and all this wasted time/breath/energy b!^@hing about what could of/should of/might of happened. Fun??? Heck No!!

Instead of filling up a thread on a recruit that might/probably won't sign here.. How about spending a little time discussing the awesome effort of the only gender of athletes at Nebraska that currently matter. They're carrying the universities banner/brand with great effort, awesome character and supreme confidence but I guess what the lack of support shown them indicates is there are a butt load of chauvinist on here.

The best group of athletes at dear ol'nu are playing tonight. Playing for a championship. How about showing them some love and stop speculating for a minute, hour, day, about something very few (if any) of the posters actually know anything about.

That Said!!! Lady Husker's Go Kick Some Pitt Arse!! GBR!!

lol, yeah it is.. it's mostly a lot of BS.. that's what it is!!

Then why post in it. Leave it to the bs’ers.

I would wager a sizable amount that a very large percentage of the bs’ers in this thread will also be supporting the VB team, and the basketball teams, and the baseball and softball teams, and so on and so on.

But this is still the football section…..so guess what get talked about here.

Fixing HH’s throwing motion at this stage would be a monumental undertaking. I’m really surprised someone didn’t fix that early on. He’s got such good size to throw over the top, but throwing from the side like he does, it’s like having a 5’10” QB back there. Changing it now requires so much thought every time he throws that it becomes mechanical. And just like the golf swing, if you’re thinking about technique, then usually the results falter. I would guess that someone probably tried to adjust him, but when you get under the gun, you revert back to what feels natural.

I have no doubt he would work his tail off, but it’s just a big change.
