If we beat KSU, should we take the CU game off??

Recommended Posts

Uh NO !!!! From a bowl selection standpoint and recruiting and National perception........ a win vs KSU, then a loss vs CU and a probable loss vs Tex puts us 8-5 instead of 9-4 if we beat CU..... 9 wins used to be the "measuring stick" in college football and around HERE. IF we drop to 8-5 before the bowl shuffle, don't expect us to go to Holiday or Alamo (maybe Alamo at best), especially coming off of back to back losses....one against a 3 win CU team and the Big 12 might be ugly.......NOT A GOOD COMBO FOR BOWL SELECTIONS or recruiting....plus if we get matched up against a team that beats us in a bowl, you essentially end the season on a 3 game losing streak....ALL ON NATIONAL TV for recruits to see.

Horrible idea if you actually think about it!!!!!!!!!!

Texas would not overlook us. It's the b12 championship and they know what's at stake. A lot of seniors running that group. CU will be a challenge as always. Our offense may start clicking but I don't see us blowing anybody out at the moment. No win will be easy. We still need to get through kstate. They are a physical bunch. I want us to win out. Two wins and a loss to Texas seems like the most probable outcome. You never know...

-We will be a top 25 team, so ratings will not help or hurt us.

-Let's face it, our team needs the rest. We are not as deep as we should be.

-We would be locked in to either the BCS bowl or the Cotton Bowl.

I'm not saying that we try to lose, but perhaps rotate as many players as possible. Give the playmakers a break. Call a conservative, vanilla game plan. :dunno

That idea ranks high alongside this one...
