HowlingHusky
Got to give it to Rex. Not sure what his final running stats were, but they should include the 3-4 Huskies that he drug along the way. His nickname should be "Clock". Quote Link to comment

Give him the ball at the end of the game and watch the clock run. 1 Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I'm split between Burkhead and the offensive line. One wouldn't have done as well without the other. Quote Link to comment
melscott62
same guy deserves it today as the previous 2 games.... but people wont admit it. 1 Quote Link to comment

HUSKERCR
Anybody want to debate whether we'd be 3-0 without Taylor Martinez? Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
O-Line, without them, Rex wouldn't have had the rushing day he did. Rex gets the honorable mention and finishing 3rd would have to be the wide receivers. Quote Link to comment

Yeah, TM is still greatly under appreciated in Huskerland. Rushing: 17-94 4.9 ypc and a TD Passing: 10-21-0 for 155 yards and 2 TD's And that doesn't reveal the leadership and decision-making Taylor showed today. Might have been his best game. irafreak
I'd vote for Taylor. He's the reason the option pass worked. He's the reason the backs don't have everyone keying in on them. And today he WASN'T the reason they kept getting back into the game. He had no turnovers. Played smart. Ripped off some nice runs and completed some big throws. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
Very true, but I think everyone was dogging the O Line today and the fact that they stepped it up today is enough for me to award them the PsOTG. They gave Taylor time to throw and gave him time to make decisions correctly because he wasn't running for his life right after the snap Quote Link to comment
HuskerCarter
Offense - Rex Burkhead Honorable mention - The entire Offensive Line, i just hope they keep it up. Defense - Jared Crick, the past three games i have seen him get held, knocked around, blindsided by the opposing OL. He took his frustration out on Keith Price. Honorable mention - Lavonte David Special Teams - Matthew May Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
O-Line was much improved but game ball easily goes to Burkhead. He got a whole bunch of his yards after first, second, third contact. Coach ball goes to Beck. I am so glad Watson is gone. Quote Link to comment
Hercules
Anybody want to debate whether we'd be 3-0 without Taylor Martinez? If nothing else, today's game should put to rest the notion that Martinez's struggles at the end of last year were because teams learned how to defend him. In 3 games against Washington - Healthy Martinez = 50+ points, Unhealthy Martinez = (the same could be said for the OLine) He played pretty well today. He's doing a tremendous job in the zone read game, he was great in the option today except for that one errant pitch, and he was OK throwing the ball. If he could be a little more accurate and if he could eliminate the 2-3 throws a game that are seemingly to no one in particular, that'd be nice, but he still played very well overall today. RedDenver
I'd throw an Honorable Mention at Caputo. He completely handled DT Ta'amu who destroyed in the bowl game and had done some talking in the papers before this game. 1 Quote Link to comment
