HuskerShark
This is a really good game and a really good matchup. It's the first series/game I've watched in a long time that I have almost no rooting interest. I'm just looking for the team that will sweep the Heat in the finals if they get there. Both team are much more balanced and experienced(Spurs moreso) than anything the Heat have/will see in the playoffs. Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
This series is not over. Just judging by this game alone, I am looking for this series to go to 7 games, and that obviously favors the Thunder. I'll take OKC in 7. Quote Link to comment
MLB 51
I still think this series will be better than the finals. Quote Link to comment
MLB 51
Cetics v. Heat today. Who is everybody taking for game one. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Heat have too much firepower (and youth). LeBron will make it very tough for Pierce and if you can shut off Pierce, all the Celtics have left is KG shooting 16 foot jump shots. Quote Link to comment
nhuskers5
And now Lebron gets the MVP award.... 2 guys were more deserving of it: Kobe and Durant. Both had similar numbers and they actually know how to close out games. I have never understood the hype around Lebron when he continues to prove over and over that he is not worthy of it. People bash Lebron constantly for not being able to close out games, but other guys fail to do it and no one says a word. Just last night we saw Durant hit ZERO FIELD GOALS in the 4th quarter, and no one is saying that he fails to close them out. The bias that people throw on Lebron is getting a little ridiculous. Does Kevin Durant call himself "The King"? Did Kevin Durant have a 60 min. show so everyone could see him give Cleveland the middle finger? Did Kevin Durant claim the Thunder would win eight championships? I don't seem to recall KD doing any of those things...oh yeah...I forgot...that's bc KD is a humble guy. If you make these claims like LJ did, you better back them up. That's why he is held to a higher standard. That and he is suppossed to be the best basketball player in the world. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
Cetics v. Heat today. Who is everybody taking for game one. I'll take the Celtics by 4. Rondo is the key to this game. The Heat have notoriously been beaten by teams with a good point guard, and Rondo is one of the best in the NBA. And for the series, I'll take Celtics in 6. Quote Link to comment

I guess I am dancing between 2 different trains of thought from the game last night, and only time will tell which one will play out to be true: 1) The Spurs played sloppy in the first half and had a crap-ton of TO's, so once they clean that up, they should be dominant the rest of the series. OR 2) The Thunder went onto the Spurs' home court and showed that they belong in the Western Conference finals. While they didn't come out with the win, with better execution in the 4th quarter they should be able to close out games like this. Quote Link to comment
tschu
Good to see the LeBron hate still being thrown around for no reason Anyway lets see if Po's formula for one team totally outmatching another will apply to this series. Heat take the first two, Celtics take game 3, Heat take a close game 4, then close the series out in blowout fashion. Quote Link to comment
