MLB 51
Holding them under 350 yards and 21 points. Throw in 4 sacks and a couple of picks and I'm happy again. Quote Link to comment
walksalone
When I see our D actually tackling somebody Quote Link to comment
Comish
<275 yards and <17 points would be a good defensive showing. We won't see one. Just answering the question.... What? Post # 3. My answer to the OP. I'd love to hold them to <275 yards and < 17 points. I think we win, but continue to struggle on D Quote Link to comment
Seriously?
We have a defense? when did this happen? When N' Suh was here Quote Link to comment
ladyhawke
We have a defense? when did this happen? When N' Suh was here And who developed Suh? Bo Pelnin did! Suh did hardly anything under Callahan but after Bo came here Suh became the powerhouse player he is today. So, there is ONE thing that Pelini has done well since he's been here!!! skersfan
I do not think Bo has the time to do the things he did when first getting here. Too many hats to wear, not enough time to do every thing. He has put himself in this situation, along with the help of Tom. I hope he starts becoming a better manager. Â I think Bo will be a good head coach, but it is going to take some time, just like all head coaches. Experience, and what to take from that experience will come. Right now, in over his head, needs help. I hope this off season he reaches out to more experienced coordinators, makes the changes this program needs. I only see that happening, if we fall through our arse this year. Not hoping for losses by any means. Maybe he will figure it out. He does too much, and can not be great at any of it. Â I am not sure Bo developed Suh, I think Suh had a big hand in it himself. Some kids lights just turn on one day. I give Bo credit for some of it, but not all. Quote Link to comment
FLU
Wow, how far the mighty have fallen when we're actually concerned about losing to not Arkansas, but Arkansas State. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
I would like to see either more aggression or less mistakes. Either go to the ball carrier and attempt the tackle or if you're going to wait for him, you better bring him down. Quote Link to comment
3rd and long
I would also be happy to see solid fundamental tackling, but I really don't think we will, you don't correct poor fundamentals in a week. Over the last five years, who has been far and away the best tackler? Â LaVonte. And those fundamentals came here with him. It really makes me wonder about what gets worked on in practice, because we just don't seem to develope those skills in our kids. Quote Link to comment
huskrinmissouri
When it's 3rd down with 10 yards to go and I can somewhat confidently think "good, we're about to get the ball back." I don't think I had that thought in either of the previous two weeks. Quote Link to comment
