Fuzzy
I changed it as a public service Burkhead will not be out long enough for a medical redshirt to be a consideration, IMO. +! he won't be out long enough. Personally, i wouldn't mind seeing him again until the Wisconsin game. We have plenty of backs to carry the load for the next 2 games. Quote Link to comment
Warrior
I agree Rex is superman and superhuman, but we have a pretty good stable of young running backs. If they have to carry the load for a year and then Rex came back he might not get near as many touches. Although I like the diamond formation with it! Quote Link to comment
FriendlyLurker2007
i predict he comes back next week, and runs for 50,000 yards, or more... Quote Link to comment
admo
i predict he comes back next week, and runs for 50,000 yards, or more... In just the first half. Without a helmet. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
As others have said, medical redshirt is the only possibility, and that's not even a real possibility. You pretty much have to be injured in the first 2-3 games of the season if you want a medical redshirt, and it has to be a season ending injury. Things get dicey after that point. And if you play anywhere close to half the games in the season, no way you're getting a shirt. Burkhead's injury has him slated to be back really no later than Ohio State. Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
oh good, i was going to start a new thread, but this is as good as anywhere to ask: is there a chance peyton manning has a year left of eligibility and will use it at NU? Quote Link to comment

Tim Beck's "oh sh#t I'm down by less than 7 better bust out Da Bomb" offense.TM Why did you put Taylor Martinez's initials behind that phrase? Oh, I get it, he's an integral part of the "oh sh#t I'm down by less than 7 better bust out Da Bomb" offense. Cool. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
Suppose he reinjures himself in practice...all season...it's possible. Taylor and Rex again next year with a healthy Ameer. Then we'll definitely win every game as our offense will score probably around 65 points a game. We won't even need to field a defense. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Burkhead will not be out long enough for a medical redshirt to be a consideration, IMO. True, but I have it on high authority that Bo has been skyping with Nick Saban. Maybe he's getting a little advice from the master? Stocking up for next year? Also, don't wink at me. B.B. Hemingway
Why do these guys stop by and create a "pointless" thread, then not bother to stick around for the conversation? Quote Link to comment
