Landlord
We tried a RB pass on a toss look against Minnesota. I think that was just to put it on film though, to give future opponents something to think about. it wasnt much for a critical point in the game. If Bill Callahan were coaching it would have worked. Comish
Not really in the category of a "trick" play, but would love to see some Rex in the wildcat Saturday night. Quote Link to comment
GSG
I keep waiting for Maher to take off running on the rugby-style punt like Henery did against Okie Lite 3 Quote Link to comment
Hoosker
During the Iowa game when Taylor had that late pitch to Ameer, if you look at Kenny Bell on the opposite end of the field, he isn't blocking, he's waiting for Taylor to drop back out of that play and throw him a cross field pass. I wish there was a clip of it because it definitely looks like another wrinkle to that play. Quote Link to comment

You could see a lot of different things going on on those off-tackle pitches to Abdullah. Quote Link to comment
Hoosker
I think an option throwback pass would be a great idea if set up properly. Line up in the I-form.. Either use Quincy (bottom receiver) as a blocker, have him run a crossing route to draw away defenders, or simply move him to the other side of the field as a decoy to give Kenny room. I haven't really thought this one through, but would anyone else like to see this happen? I just want to see Kenny Bell get more touches in space. Quote Link to comment

irafreak
I say we pretend to take a knee on the last play of the game (saturday) as we are up 3 scores and throw it deep! Quote Link to comment
HuskerNationNick
Back flash 41 reverse!! Rex has experience throwing and tmart will go down the field in fassion. We did this two years ago against OU. Toss to Rex, Rex bombed it down to Taylor, incomplete. I knew it was coming to. Something in my gut told me that lol. Quote Link to comment
NUance
The zone read is a trick play that we run half dozen times per game. :/edit: That was a helluva block Cole Pensick put on their safety. 1 Quote Link to comment

HuskerfaninOkieland
When was the last time we saw a fake punt or FG? The stronger our defense gets, the more likely we are to see it. This! I've wondered if having Maher punt rugby style isn't setting him up to keep it and run for a first down. Quote Link to comment

I noticed that during the rugby kick that some Iowa players turned their back and followed their guy before the ball was even kicked. Quote Link to comment
Husker from Kansas
Is Maher very athletic? If he's too slow it won't happen Quote Link to comment
Hoosker
Is Maher very athletic? If he's too slow it won't happen Oh yeah. He's very athletic. He set the pole vault record at Kearney High, which is a crazy good track and field school. I think he went like 16'2 or something. Unreal. Quote Link to comment
