Hemingway 5,635
Anyone else watching this game wondering of he would have ever beat out TM Martinez proved to be a much better QB than Green.... The best Green could have hoped to be was a slightly more athletic Zac Lee.... This stage was too big for Green. He seemed like a great kid, and I wish him nothing but the best. 1 Quote Link to post

Funny you say that, it's the exact thing I was thinking about the stage being to good for him, too bad does seem like a great kid Quote Link to post

BRV920 192
Great kid! Took him fishing a couple of times. Just wasn't good enough to become the starter. Quote Link to post
Warrior10 3,458
Anyone else watching this game wondering of he would have ever beat out TM 55% completion percentage in Conference USA....No. Seemed to be a good kid and solid teammate though. Nice to see him in a bowl. Quote Link to post

Announcers seem to relay as much. Apparently he said something to the effect that he was drawn in by the name or N on the helmet, and he didn't think about the more important aspects like being a good fit in the program. Touchdown Tommie 323
No....do you remember the games he did play. He was slow both physically and mentally during the games. He seemed like a great kid, but if my memory serves me correctly didn't he say some pretty dumb things after he left? Or maybe he was trying to get others to go with him? Quote Link to post

VA Husker Fan 378
Not true, Martinez won in high school. Pretty much the same as C-USA. 3 Quote Link to post
NU fan in Denver 9
You have to remember that CG never had the benefit of a redshirt season. He was thrust into his first starting action against OU, I believe. The lights are pretty bright for TM as well, He is 0-4 in CCG and Bowl games. 1 Quote Link to post
