PaulCrewe
No way in hell you pull Fitzgerald for Newton. Can had what one year. Come on Knapp And Reggie Bush is IN. The guy did it all for USC and was the center of every defensive game plan for opponents. The Selmons from Boomerland should be in there as one entry. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Probably should put Ndamukong Suh in there somewhere, too. Suh and Neil Smith both belong in my opinion...... Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
Kordell Stewart might deserve to be on there. Yep. Dick Butkus at 39. No way he is below Bosworthless. Probably would put Bo Jackson at #1 I don't think Bo should be at #1. Went to the 1982 game in Auburn and I sure wasn't impressed as weren't our Huskers who demolished them 41-7. I couldn't find Bo's stats for that game but he wasn't in their top two rushers and was a non-factor in the game. He was a great player with high commercial exposure for sure, but #1? nah. I'd like to agree with you but I keep coming back to what Auburn has been like since Newton left... Quote Link to comment
walksalone
I hate to say this, but Randy Moss... I saw him make that catch against Army where he hurdled the guy on the way to the endzone... Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I'm making a couple of changes to the list and I'm noticing a few things. First, this is really running-back heavy. We have 24 running backs out of 64 spots. That seems excessive, but I don't see a guy who doesn't belong. Maybe the biggest bias is that the top nine spots are all Running Backs, and the first non-running back is Tommie Frazier. Second, there are seven Huskers on our list. At first blush that may seem biased, this being a Husker forum and all, but I checked out Sports Illustrated's All-Century Team, and out of 85 players they tabbed, six were Huskers. I've added Tebow, Suh, Reggie Bush and Rich Glover, and I removed Terrell Suggs, Glenn Davis, Trev Alberts and Tony Mandarich. The current list: 1 Barry Sanders 2 Archie Griffin 3 Bo Jackson 4 Jim Thorpe 5 Red Grange 6 Doak Walker 7 Jim Brown 8 OJ Simpson 9 Earl Campbell 10 Tommie Frazier 11 Gale Sayers 12 Billy Sims 13 Vince Young 14 Herschel Walker 15 Eric Dickerson 16 Jamelle Holieway 17 Mike Rozier 18 Will Shields 19 Orlando Pace 20 Rickey Williams 21 Eric Crouch 22 Roger Staubach 23 Sammy Baugh 24 Dave Rimington 25 Bronko Nagurski 26 Tony Dorsett 27 Marcus Allen 28 Dan Marino 29 Ron Dayne 30 Charlie Ward 31 Tom Harmon 32 Lawrence Taylor 33 Brian Bosworth 34 George Gipp 35 Johnny Rodgers 36 Ndamukong Suh 37 Reggie Bush 38 Steve Emtman 39 Dick Butkus 40 Warren Sapp 41 Calvin Johnson 42 Larry Fitzgerald 43 Troy Davis 44 John Elway 45 Hugh Green 46 Rashaan Salaam 47 Rich Glover 48 Mike Singletary 49 Mike Ditka 50 Charles Woodsen 51 Bernie Kosar 52 Larry Czonka 53 Charles Rodgers 54 James Street 55 John Hannah 56 Charley Trippi 57 Alex Karras 58 Bob Brown 59 Keyshawn Johnson 60 Dat Nguyen 61 Carl Eller 62 Dan Hampton 63 Sterling Sharpe 64 Tim Tebow Quote Link to comment

wildman
Adrian Peterson - I don't remember much of his college days but what I do remember would say top 100 easily maybe in the 50-70 range. Cam Newton - absolutely not maybe top 150 list. He was a back up at Florida before transfering. Had 1 good year during his career. Colt McCoy - no maybe a top 150 list. The only Colt McCoy highlights worth watching is when Suh threw him 10 yards. Shipley is what made Colt look good. Darren McFadden Deion Sanders Ed Reed Eric Berry Kordell Stewart Ndamukong Suh - Absolutely should be on this list. He was dominate and hard to block. I'd say 25-40 range. Reggie Bush - Yes I'd list him in the 45-65 range. He was a great player that was fun to watch. Tim Tebow - This one I don't know. Tim had some great numbers but my opinion they are inflated a bit just cause of the surrounding players he had. Quote Link to comment
HuskerThor
#1. Archie Griffin. The guy has two Heisman Trophies. Two. Quote Link to comment
HuskerThor
If Billy Sims is #12, then Johnny Rogers should be #12A. Quote Link to comment
beanman
#1. Archie Griffin. The guy has two Heisman Trophies. Two. Pretty meh stats though. How the hell do you win a Heisman with 1450 yds and 4 touchdowns? Year Att Yds Avg TD 1972 159 867 5.5 3 1973 247 1,577 6.4 7 1974 256 1,695 6.6 12 1975 262 1,450 5.5 4 Quote Link to comment
