suh_fan93
Guilty of 1st degree murder. Verdicts being read now. I think I read that his defense team called like 3 witness on his behalf. Justice was served especially for the Lloyd family. Apparently he does have the option to appeal. Quote Link to comment
Bigred_inSD
At least Nebraska is now no longer the most current college team with a famous murderer on their football team? Quote Link to comment
GSG
If you go to about 3:50 in this video, you can see his reaction to the verdict: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2o_9lcIINDc Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
That is not the face or demeanor of an innocent man Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Eh, I don't think he's innocent. But if he had lawyers worth anything he would have been coached very well to not show anything when the verdict is read. Quote Link to comment

Bigred_inSD
I've only caught snippets of the case, but two things I thought I had read. And maybe some one with some legal background can shine some light. Hernandez defense team admitted he was at the scene of the murder by didn't pull the trigger. Massachusetts has a "joint venture" law which states they didnt need to prove he pulled the trigger. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I haven't followed that closely either but it appears the "joint venture" has to include intent. Saw someone talking about the case a couple days ago on TV talking about the difficulty in proving the intent. It could be argued that Hernandez intent was to rough him up or something and one of the others killed Lloyd without Hernandez knowing they were going to do it. Quote Link to comment

Omaha-Husker
Big props to the jury here. I have sat on a trail that lasted 8 days and I was exhausted and behind on a ton of things at home and work. I can't even imagine spending over two months like they did. Quote Link to comment
