StPaulHusker
@JonNyatawa: Nebraska's apparently applied for (& been granted) a waiver to allow Pelini's assistants to coach this month & Riley's new hires to recruit. Nice. Quote Link to comment
ladyhawke
This from Sam McKewon: http://www.omaha.com/huskers/blogs/mckewon/ "Top 100 running back prospect Kendall Bussey received contact from a member of Nebraska's new coaching staff Tuesday night, his dad told The World-Herald in a phone interview." So they have reached out to Bussey as well as the Davis twins: Recruiting: Riley impresses Davis twins in meeting Looks like the new staff and maybe the old staff as well is doing their job. GBR! Thanks_Tom RR
Jon Nyatawa @JonNyatawa 39m39 minutes ago Apparently it's a thing. Here's Ohio State's compliance director describing the split-staff waiver 3 yrs ago So, does the mean the old staff can't assist with recruiting? If that is the case, would Warren be considered part of the new staff? Quote Link to comment
Mavric
It sounds to me like you can have up to the set number at one time. As if there is a list of who can be engaged in recruiting. If that's the case, I would think we'd remove an "old" coach each time we add a new coach. Not sure on that but it's what it sounds like from that description. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
That being said, I doubt if the old staff is doing much recruiting. It would be kind of odd for them to still be calling. I would think recruits would want to hear from the new staff. Quote Link to comment
Red Five
With the Dillman to H Back news, I wonder who we will see Riley target for QB. Will he look for a pure pocket guy? Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Apparently Bray needs to get ahold of Kyahva Tezino. Rivals four-star LB from LA but he's looking at Washington State, San Diego State and Colorado. I think he can do better. Quote Link to comment

Thanks_Tom RR
Now, with Courtney Love transferring officially, we are going to be paper-thin at LB going forward. Who is on the board at LB for this class (keep in mind, we now need to consider recruits with Oregon St offers)? Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Need to get the new staff in touch with Dedrick Young. Has been very interested in NU for some time. Same with Saleem Brightwell. We were picking up some interest in November. I don't see a lot of possibilities on the OSU offer list. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
In case Bussey decides to move on, this kid just de-committed from Wisconsin http://nebraska.247sports.com/Season/2015-Football/Recruits?DefaultName=Jordan+Stevenson Quote Link to comment

I wouldn't mind a QB recruit, just not a pure-pocket guy. Look at the top 20 teams, maybe 4-5 use pure pocket guys. It's not what wins anymore. Now a pass first with some mobility, JT Barrett/Blake Sims style would be great. Quote Link to comment
