OH HSKR FAN
His name has not been called much so far this year. Thoughts? Quote Link to comment
husker07
At this point Zimmerer is better, and fullbacks hardly get any attention. Quote Link to comment

Army_Allen
Which is surprising because Jano looked great last year. IT's obviously favorites due to Zim being an upperclassmen... Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Doesn't seem like we've run as much I formation this year either so there might not be as many chances to get on the field - not that I is the only time they get out there but we haven't run the Power Toss play 25 times in a row this year (so far). Warrior10
His name has not been called much so far this year. Thoughts? He was in on the play where Cross pushed him over in the hole. If he woulda got the safety Cross would have been gone. Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
Can this thread turn into a "why isn't the fullback getting more carries" discussion? Pretty please!!!! Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
Thats like the guy that was in the stands during the UCLA game. He was shouting "WHERE IS THE FULLBACK?!?!?" (RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE) the score was already 38-21. Then the fullback came in and we got 4 yards. He then yelled "SEE THERE YOU GO!!!" tool. Quote Link to comment

StPaulHusker
Can this thread turn into a "why isn't the fullback getting more carries" discussion? Pretty please!!!! It will turn into that if one game goes by and AA has only like 60 yards. Quote Link to comment
husker07
Can this thread turn into a "why isn't the fullback getting more carries" discussion? Pretty please!!!! How about Imani Cross needs to be moved to fullback so we can make the trap play a big part of our offense. Quote Link to comment
billdozer15
On a positive note Andy gave my son one of his gloves as he was leaving the field after the game in the tunnel. It was my 6 year old sons first game and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. Probably solidified his huskerdome for life. 3 Quote Link to comment
husker07
Andy seems like a good kid and someone who represents a lot of traditional NU, and Bo Pelini, values. He'll be a pretty good one by the time he graduates. Quote Link to comment

How about Imani Cross needs to be moved to fullback so we can make the trap play a big part of our offense. That would make sense if we ran Triple Option but the FB trap really doesnt fit into what we can do now it just doesnt have much of a place in the IZ, OZ, Zone Read, Sweep Read, Power Read, Toss Sweep, base Power, run offense that we run now. Even the speed option isnt really a play where the complimentary play is a trap. Even a split flow play- we dont really run that either. Im a HUGE fan of the trap play and the FB- but you cant just bolt on a one trick poney that doesnt have a series of plays as part of the offense If TM ends up being staying at the starting QB spot we really dont have a way to run any type of option out of the I and with that, not much with the FB trap IF we were running more triple look style option and Imani blocks well, yep he would be tough on that play, no jump cuts or multiple landmark reads, just come right off the inside hip of the pulling guard and haul.
