knapplc
If he gets fired for something that'll be legal in all 50 states in five years, and should be legal everywhere now, then this is much ado about nothing. I'm really hoping this is all there is to it, and we can just laugh at FAU for being stodgy and stupid for firing him instead of making him write "I will not smoke pot" on the chalkboard 100 times. carlfense
@McMurphyESPN 1m Source told @ESPN Carl Pelini & DC Pete Rekstis resign at FAU. They attended recent social event where pot was used & agreed to resign Please let this be all there is to it. Please. I'd be shocked if that was the main reason. Quote Link to comment

Probably just that FAU had enough of Carl and saw this as an opportunity to kick him out w/o having to pay the remainder on his contract? Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I'm hoping that's it. I'm afraid it isn't. Quote Link to comment

commando
Has to be more then that. the pot is just something less of a crime to cover something else more damaging IMO Quote Link to comment

Ulty
Well, I was about to put together a least of damning coaching scandals from the lame (O'Leary) to the serious (Woody Hayes) to the ungodly (Sandusky). I would have guessed that Carl would have been along the lines of Petrino or Mike Price. Quote Link to comment
