VectorVictor
I hate to say it, but I see at least 3 more turnovers from us this game with the way we are playing. I'm taking the over, unfortunately. Seems like one of those days... 1 Quote Link to comment
Husker66
we have just given Ohio state the defensive game plan for big bad front 4 at sparty. Quote Link to comment
The King
Undisplined football. A staple in Pelini's team. IT's called a freshman QB making freshman mistakes, not a lack of discipline One by Westerkamp. Three by Armstrong. That's a lack of discipline. Ball Security comes from discipline. 2 by armstrong 1 by Newby No, sir - the late pitch was by Armstrong. The pitch was high and lazy. Thumb to the sky when you pitch it. Don't pitch it in that situation. That's on the QB. Armstrong pitches late, a lot. MSU's DC said that caused them problems (according to the commentators). He lets the D dictate what is going to beat them. Sure the pitch was slightly high, but it hit Newby in his hands in stride. He didn't have to make any grand adjustments. Quote Link to comment
shyndy
Turnovers have been a problem for this team since pelini got here even with the old offense seems to not matter who is playing where Quote Link to comment
alexhortdog95
Guys, the coaches didn't do any of this, so just stop. If you aren't blind, we are winning this game if these players would stop f'ing themselves. Really? What game are you watching? I'm assuming we are watching the same game, so I'll also assume that you comprehension is not quite up to par. Tommy Armstrong not a coach. Terrell Newby, not a coach. Westerkamp, also, not a coach. There you go, four turnovers, none of them coaches. Hope that helps bud. But all of these mistakes are fixable by the COACHING. In practice. I'd have to agree with GBR's assessment. presidentjlh
I'm not one that likes to claim that the other team isn't beating us, we're beating ourselves, but there's no other way to describe this. Incredibly frustrating. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
I miss Taylor.... Did that fumble remind you of him? +1 You got me there.... But at least Taylor recovered some of his fumbles.. I never thought about that. I would like to see some stats. I would not be surprised if TM is the all time leader in % of his own fumbles recovered. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt39
I miss Taylor.... Did that fumble remind you of him? +1 You got me there.... But at least Taylor recovered some of his fumbles.. Yeah he did. But you can rely on that. Our playcalling needs to help out the QB's. If we were going to run the ball there then we should have handed it to Abdullah. Quote Link to comment

beanman
Beck's playcalling has generally been fine. We just need to stop hurting ourselves. And stay away from getting pass-happy in the 2nd half. We can move the ball on these guys. Quote Link to comment
308_Husker
Head scratching play calling on offense. f'ing piss poor gameplan. how can you say that? we haven't seen enough offense to see what the gameplan is.... I was referring to the play calling to end the half. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Christ, this is ridiculous! We are easily in this game if we hold on to this ball if not leading! I can't believe these guys are making all these mistakes. Here's an idea, KEEP HANDING THE BALL TO AMEER! They don't have much of an answer for him and we knew they wouldn't. So pissed right now........ Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
I say this every time, when a team doesn't try to move the ball and just basically lets the clock run out and escape into the locker room for half-time, bad things happen. We have the ball with several TO's left and an opportunity to drive down and maybe kick a field goal but instead do nothing (like usual) and then a fumble occurs. Ugh. Almost as bad as prevent defense Quote Link to comment
louisianared
First drive of the second half is key. We don;t need a 3 and out, just a good stop that give s us decent field position. We score early and cut the lead to 20-14 this game will change very quickly. Quote Link to comment
308_Husker
Head scratching play calling on offense. f'ing piss poor gameplan. What? This has been perhaps Beck's best game plan, in my opinion. They've been able to move the ball consistently. But we have zero depth at RB, and all the freshmen playing due to injuries are making unforced error after unforced error. I was referring to the play calling to end the half. Got a quick first down, then just stopped. It was like they couldn't decide if they wanted to go for a score, or go into the half.
