ShawnWatson
Some of you people are so f'ing blind to anything negative involving Huskers. Go f'ing assault someone tonight outside a bar and smash his head into a brick wall and see if you get the same deal. Sure. What bar will you be going to tonight? Watch out bro, this guy rolls with the Makovicka brothers. 1 Quote Link to comment

You know some of the facts about a situation from an external perspective. You're really the last person to have any kind of informed thought as to what he should or shouldn't suffer. 2 Quote Link to comment

Spooky Tooth
The sentence is probably a good one. What Lewis did was serious and no one here has tried to minimize it. On the other hand, I'm not buying the special treatment agrument just because he's a student athlete. The judge would consider mitigating circumstances such as (paradoxically) being drunk, relative youth, lack of criminal record, pre-sentence investigative report of his life prior to the incident and propensity for either recidivism or successful intervention. Those mitigating factors apply to everyone. 1 Quote Link to comment
huKSer
According to the Daily Camera, a third-degree assault conviction carries a “presumptive sentencing range” of six-to-18 months in jail, but Lewis’ former CU teammate, quarterback Jordan Webb, received two years’ probation and 20 days with a work crew after he pleaded guilty to the same charge in connection with the same fight. It probably is part of the sentencing guide lines. 1 Quote Link to comment

He beat the sh#t out of a guy, he deserves more than what he is getting, lucky for him that he is an athlete. Do us all a favor. Find a different board to troll. GTFO! Quote Link to comment

redout22
With that kind of baggage he must have some real talent. I'm not trying to knock him, but he better have better judgment going forward. Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
I just hope nothing like this happens again. Will like to see him here at Tackle. Quote Link to comment

Your sources tell you anything about Bo being a done deal elsewhere lately? This is 100% proven unlike the Bo thing, a normal sentence is at least a year for that crime. Third degree assult is a First Degree Misdemeanor. Meaning it carries a maxium of 2 years. Most people get a very similiar sentence for a first offense. Quote Link to comment
Redmusky
What bothers me about this is the head lines husker player gets jail time. No buffalo player gets jail time he was asked to leave Colorado after he was charged. Question is he not a walk-on at this time? Quote Link to comment
