NUance
I really don't know what the whole "lacking of emotion" term means anymore. It just seems like just a canned excuse to misdirect people from the actual problems "Lacking of emotion"? Yeah, I can't get excited about that term either. Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
I feel like we didnt really have much emotion in the first half, receiver Jordan Westerkamp told reporters after the game. Typical under Bo's era. We accepted 4-loss season ...... again 1W - 0L 2W - 0L 3W - 0L 4W - 0L 5W - 0L 5W - 1L .... new excuse; clappers thing 5W - 2L .... no more hail mary 6W - 2L .... yes ! --- qualified postseason bowl 7W - 2L .... overtime win 7W - 3L .... renamed porcupines instead of badgers 8W - 3L 8W - 4L .... withdrawal Excuse Bank --- over eat turkey day 9W - 4L .... Quick Lane Bowl win against ACC #4 Quote Link to comment
irafreak
It's my fault and others like me. Our frustration with Tim Beck has led to a message board littered with negativity...the players read it and now they question their OC's ability and gameplan...they go in lacking confidence. BigRedPowerWagon
I dont want to throw the team or coaches under the buss but i have noticed this also. When they should be emotionally pumped up they just go through the motions. They lack what i would call a killer instinct. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
well, whatever "it is".......we got it down pat! rinse and repeat! damnnnnnnnnn...... Quote Link to comment

sd'sker
Jay Foreman article on Neb not coming off the bus ready for a fight. Can't say I disagree with anything in his article from 247sports: http://nebraska.247sports.com/Article/Jay-Foreman-breaks-down-Nebraska-football--31861574 I definitely agree that they weren't ready for a fight, that is a perplexing thing. i think last year's game wore heavy on tommy and he played tight for most of the game, but the offensive line did not help him at all. he was never able to get into much of a rhythm. i think the offense line was intimidated and lacked confidence. and it became a self-fulfilling prophecy compounding upon itself. lo country
Year 7 and the guys still can't get pumped for a game. On the national stage, that has huge implications, that with the early losses could have us top 15 maybe even 10........ I was really psyched TA talked in the off season about getting "up" for games and staying up when losing. Didn't want to see heads down and guys not into game. We need a psych doc stat. TheSker
Year 7 and the guys still can't get pumped for a game. The same thing might have been said in 1979. Or 1989. Quote Link to comment

Or 1989. is the only defense of bo that it took tom a long time to win a championship? because, i gotta tell ya, if you look a cat's whisker deeper, there are a lot more differences than similarities between the two, and that assumes that bo someday does accomplish something of note. not to mention, there is no sound logic, at all, in assuming that because it took tom a long time to achieve the greatest success, that bo will eventually get there as well. and, you completely ignore how tom's teams finished and how bo's finish. and if you say that times have changed, then stop comparing them altogether, which would be the only logical conclusion at this time; that is is insane to compare the two.
