lo country
I,as much as anyone else, hope riley is successful here, but we should have gone after Johnson, Calhoun, or Monken. Had mentioned Monken as well. Did great at Georgia Southern. Good coaching tree and has a developed system. Quote Link to comment
In the Deed the Glory
Dude...you can't win if the other team has more than a week to prepare...oh...wait... Nevermind...you can't win with it if the team has SEC speed...oh...wait. The SEC West has 6 teams that were top ten at some point so they are the best...oh...wait At when? The end of the year? Or...not? Haha, nope. Just the beginning and middle. And I don't believe that, my sarcasm didn't come through well... LSU Highest ranking #8 (Les Miles and the Bayou Bengals, man they are going to be National Champs) Lost to Notre Dame Texas A&M Highest ranking #6 (They killed that super tough South Carolina and that Kenny Trill is so good for them, man they are National Champs) Beat WVU by a TD Auburn Highest ranking #2 (Gus Malzahn and that offense, Nick Marshall, man they are going to be National Champs) Play Wisconsin tomorrow Ole Miss Highest ranking: #1 (Land Shark baby, nobody can run on them, man they are going to be National Champs) Lost Bowl game 42-3 to TCU Mississippi St. Highest ranking: #1 (Dak Prescott, definite Heisman winner, man they are going to be National Champs) Currently residing in the wood shed courtesy of the rambling wreck, 49-27 right now Alabama: Highest ranking #1 (Nick Saban and Lane Kiffin, on the same staff? They play all these GREAT teams, man they are going to be National Champs)(They actually might, ironically) Ohio State in the CFP tomorrow 1 Quote Link to comment
LumberJackSker
Who needs a tough option run it down their throat offense when you can run some west coast passing offense. I mean do you really need to run the ball more than 20-25 times a game when you can just throw it all day Quote Link to comment

strigori
Mississippi State looked like they had zero coaches on staff who have ever seen the option before. Willing to bet Big Ten has more coaches who have actually seen it before. Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
That QB made plays that very few are capable of. He is special and fits that offense. Really no different than saying, Peyton Manning can do it, so we should run that offense. Quote Link to comment
Nebhawk
yeah, Paul Johnson is in his 7th year. Sound familiar? I was touting this guy when we had to have Pelini. Yes, this guy was out there when we had to have the fire of Pelini. This guy is a class act, who this year beat Georgia, and could and should have beaten FSU. This guy has built something in his 7 year tenure. This is the program that all Nebraska fans should look at and wonder , HMMMMM. Saying it again. GTech is fun to watch and they recruit and win alot of games every year. Johnson has a good product, and his product always appears shiny and new. Even if its the old Triple option. They looked the better team, the faster team, and more physical team on the field against the SEC # 2 team. They looked the part. 1 Quote Link to comment
