QMany
Those texts are hilarious and damning. I didn't think they would find a "smoking gun," but this is pretty damn close. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
I think this is a fair take on the situation. http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2015/05/nfl_must_suspend_tom_brady_in_wake_of_damning_defl.html Quote Link to comment
HUSKER 37
Every year thousands of athletes suffer from deflated balls. ...If you suspect your balls may be deflated, don't play with them. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
And the "lengthy" legal challenge.... Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Wow....I'm actually shocked at this. John Bishop retweeted Gil Brandt @Gil_Brandt 10m10 minutes ago Tom Brady suspended 4 games by the NFL w/out pay. Team loses 2016 first-round draft pick, 2017 fourth-rounder. Quote Link to comment

suh_fan93
Per Roger Goodell it is o.k. to beat your women, it is o.k. to cheat. Worst commissioner in all of sports. The NFL is such a joke anymore largely due to it's commissioner. He hits the team harder than the guy who actually cheated. WTF. 1 Quote Link to comment
mrandyk
Two separate incidents resulting in the forfeiture of first round draft picks for the Patriots under Belichick. I have to wonder what else they have pulled over the years that no one ever caught wind of. 4 Quote Link to comment

Apathy
The last time they were denied a first round draft pick they still got it anyways by trading their other round picks I believe. I could see the same thing happening again Quote Link to comment

I have to wonder what else they have pulled over the years that no one ever caught wind of. Exactly. Pretty pathetic really. You know, I've never liked the Pacheatriots, but I kind of respected them for how much they've accomplished, but now it's hard to respect them at all. Who knows how much any cheating they've done has affected the outcomes of games, but if they are truly as great as they want us all to believe, then why open it up for debate? They deflated those balls to gain an advantage. What that advantage was, I guess I'm not sure, but you obviously don't just cheat like this for no reason. Pathetic. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
I have a difficult time being too mad at the Patriots. People act like they are the only team to try anything to get an advantage. There isn't on NFL team or player that doesn't try to get away with something. Sometimes they get caught. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
So now the Patriots aren't just cheating their insulting our intelligence. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
I also have some land in Florida I can sell you for cheap cheap! Patriots lawyer: "Deflator" texts about losing weight, not deflating balls. Team attorney Daniel Goldberg said Thursday the two Patriots employees -- Jim McNally, the officials' locker room assistant, and John Jastremski, an equipment assistant for the Patriots -- used the term jokingly in text messages to refer to McNally, who was trying to lose weight: "Mr. Jastremski would sometimes work out and bulk up -- he is a slender guy and his goal was to get to 200 pounds. Mr. McNally is a big fellow and had the opposite goal: to lose weight. 'Deflate' was a term they used to refer to losing weight. One can specifically see this use of the term in a Nov. 30, 2014 text from Mr. McNally to Mr. Jastremski: 'deflate and give somebody that jacket.' ... This banter, and Mr. McNally's goal of losing weight, meant Mr. McNally was the 'deflator.' There was nothing complicated or sinister about it." 1 Quote Link to comment
